Teenagers can be selfish and want the best life for them, without realising how much they hurt their family.

My teenagers spent most of their evenings and weekends with my in laws and friends because my husband made our house an unpleasant place to be.

As yours don't live with you I would make a point of saying they have to have some time with you.

Explain to the step mother that's it's not all about them and their fun, and that you want to see them too.

I don't know why she thinks they won't get to spend time together as they get older.
