Minehead is Somerset - close to Devon though so if you are up that way, have a wander around Lynton and Lynmouth but watch out for the goats. Unless they've culled them since I was last up to there

agree, well skip the model village though, and living coast too, although it does have some gorgeous countryside, we go to paignton every year.

Torbay

Walk from Brixham up to Berry Head. Spend some time spotting the harbour porpoises and dolphins and then a cream tea in the cafe. Perfect.
