Is it me or has there been a massive influx of fake profiles appearing on here recently?

I can spot them a mile off but I feel It’s starting to ruin it for the genuine people!

For those who genuinely wanting to network with like minded people then yes it will ruin their experience. And sorry but unfortunately there has been a big influx and that may deter the genuine people from networking on here and may limit then to just sticking to clubs.

It's why we don't use the site to meet people. Got fed up of no shows. We just go out and meet people in the flesh.

Much easier and suits us better.

On the plus side to that, we no longer get our time messed about with.

1) a photograph that is clearly not theirs - one woman contacted me with photo’s of Kelly Brooke. Now as much as I’d like that to be true. It clearly is not her

2) empty profile - big red flag for a fake. If your genuine why would you write something ‘doesn’t need to be much’ about yourself

3) requesting personal information in their 1st message. Really? Who does that?

I’ve had lots of men request personal information from me within their first message, and their profile is blank

Tbh our profile is pretty empty, not really much point in us having much there at all

I wouldn’t doubt your for a second

I don’t think a genuine lady would do that though

Yes, but with one or two exceptions, imagine hardly anyone setting up a fake profile for wind ups or whatever would choose to set up a single Male one...

I wouldn't know what makes a fake profile. But I was contacted by a couple that had joined only a few hours earlier, then after an hour or so of messages they left the site. So maybe a fake profile or worse still, something I said lol

Since joining FAB I've been accused of being a "fake" profile, quite a few times.

If I feel the person isn't real or I'm not interested I just delete a d block.

The quick profiles which disappear as soon as they appear are the ones looking for quick hookups. They find someone then delete the account

Yes, there have always been here but they have definitely increased , they are also getting more difficult to spot as well

There are scores of female profiles that are just the same but of course, they don't have to try as they have boobs and a vagina.

Completely different, however I can assure you that at least 50% of the messages you receive are off fake or misleading profiles
