now... apparently you are not suppose to do this anymore, as diane abbot has apologise to tfl via twitter this morning for being caught drinking a cheeky m&s mojito on the overground...

so.... 2 questions, and doing go all high and might cause we have all done it...

1) favourite train tipple.....

2) favourite tinned canned cocktail....

(if i was sneaking one on... banana daiquiri was fantastic!)

I used to drink shots onthe train purely because alcohol makes me need to pee and I didn't want to use the toilets!

I’ve never had an alcoholic drink on a train - so it would be a Coke Zero or Water. They are the only two things I’ve had to drink on a train - probably Diet Coke as well in the days before Zero

I refuse to buy it on the train so I’ll take on a couple of cans of IPA if it’s a long enough journey to warrant it

The canned mojito's are a bit crap to be honest they are far too fizzy. Saying that I haven't tried the m&s brand.

1: G&T

2: G&T

Cocktail depends on the mood. I usually go for a White Russian which I haven't seen in cans.

Since when has it been banned? I know it was on the underground years ago.

I always drink on the train - I'm using the train because I don't want to drive.

Fabio, I'm sorry I can't bring any hilarity to the thread but I honestly don't think I've ever d*unk alcohol on a train, I've never had a tinned cocktail either. I think I've had about 3 cocktails in my entire life. One of those was a "baileys after eight" which was scrummy, but I should probably try some more.

Bristol East

The only "dry" trains I have been on are from Carlisle to Barrow last thing at night.

I didn't know it was banned. Shame it's not banned on all trains, planes, boats and scooters.

It's only banned on transport for London trains.

I think it's one of the nice things about a train journey, that you can have a beer.

Bit of a tenuous thing for the papers to be going after her for. Well one paper anyway.

I only know it was banned because the night before the ban people were having parties on the Tube. Was quite fun.
