So apparently I have great tits and "must be proud of them".

Is it just me who finds that odd? Why would I be proud of a body part? I kinda get it if someone has actively worked on improving their physique but boobs just grow, I took no part in it.

Anyway it got me thinking what does make you proud of yourself? What have you achieved or overcome that deserves a pat on the back?

Pride is a funny one, I'm not really proud of anything because that's not me really, not the way I see things, I'm grateful for things and glad that some turned out the way they did. Other things I wish were different. My girl is everything

Hiding in the shadows

I'm proud of me, my life.

After everything I (& my children) have been through.

I'm still standing.

I crawled away from my marriage, with nothing but debts.

I didn't rebuild my old life, I created a brand new one, with endless possibilities.

I lost 10st, and gained a new career, I built a business.

I'm giving my children the life they deserve.

I am proud to be me.

I only feel proud for other people, I feel Contentment or a sense of satisfaction sometimes, with something I’ve done, but I never feel proud of myself. For me, that’s for other people to feel.

I can feel proud of others. One or two in particular that are absolutely amazing for lots of different reasons. I feel proud of the way I’ve raised my children. They’re incredible humans.

I’m proud of my son and the fact that we are where we are today. I’m proud I was brave enough to move us to be by the sea and left most of my family and behind us.

I’m proud of my youngest son. He’s a young man with autism, mental health issues and learning disabilities and he’s won a paid invite to a regional Pokemon tournament in Germany next week and has been invited to play in the world championship in Washington DC this August. X

I’m proud of being in the last few months of my degree while working full time and single mum to 3 boys it will give us the financial security we need.

I’m proud of the change in myself after 17 yr marriage to a narcissist still got a bit to go but getting there

I’m even proud of being a fab member as a few yrs ago I didn’t even think it would bother me if I had never sex again as my experience with my ex wasn’t great

It seems a really odd thing to be proud of. It never ceases to amaze me what people say to try and get their end away!

I'm proud of the young adults my children are becoming. I like to take some of the credit for that.

I'm proud of many things I have achieved over the years, Qualifications, Jobs, health issues.

My husband being one too but most of all our kids they are some proper decent humans.

To have basically brought myself up and supported myself from aged 17 and maybe made myself look too strong that when I did actually need help and support it just wasn't there when you expected it to be naturally because your other siblings problems were ongoing that I was just overlooked

That I clawed my way out of a massive black hole in my life, still got a way to go but I’m no where near the bottom anymore.

I’m also really proud of both of us for our job!

I hit rock bottom 3 ish years ago. Nearly lost everything, and saw no way out. The few people on here that knew me then saw the wheels come off in a spectacular fashion.

Having reached out to colleagues, health care professionals, friends and family over a period of months and feeling absolutely alone, the final solution was a real prospect.

The last throw of the dice was to speak to a charity and they referred me as an emergency to a mental health team.

A month in hospital for my own protection, 18 months of community mental health and medication, I got my life back on track.

I have rebuilt my life and progressed in work far further than I could have hoped!

I have down days, the black dog is never that far away, but I know I am fortunate to still be here and proud of the fact that I am still here.

I'm not the prettiest, the funniest, the fittest or the sexiest, but I'm a fighter and a survivor.

Nothing is ever going to knock me that far down again.

Pride is an odd concept. I get a sense of satisfaction and contentment in my achievements. I get a sense of joy and delight at the achievements of my children, my family and friends. I would ever be proud of something I haven't worked hard to earn.

There's a difference between being self aware and self obsessed.

I don't know your life story and don't know if the person you are or the person you portray has been in a place where some posters have been.

Some here have achieved more than we will ever know yet see themselves as failures. Praising oneself isn't always a bad thing.
