Shawshank Redemption

Well after years of hearing people say that Shawshank Redemption is one of the best films ever I have finally watched it tonight. Yes it is a very good film, but one of the best???? Personally I feel The Green Mile is better. Your thoughts?

I agree that The Green Mile is better but that doesn't mean Shawshank isn't a classic

I think the Green Mile is better, too. I also like Shawshank, but it's on too often.

Shawshank all the way for me.

I do like Green Mile though. But I think the characters and the casting in Shawshank is perfect.

Actually thought ‘The Mist’ also directed by Darabont, and written by Stephen King is far better than either Shawshank or Green Mile, also the ending that the Director wanted. For me (and the Director) Shawshanks ending was a bit of a cop out, he regretted filming it and I agree.
