So my wife had a car accident which was not her fault in dec 16.

Shw has been suffering with chronic neck pain, numbness, and has been on mega strong painkillers for last 2yrs. She has had many medicals and no treatment has worked.

So this december would mark 3yrs since the accident, is there anything detrimental to her claim once this three year mark comes?

It feels as though we are gettinf no where with it and would really like some advice

As long as you have already submitted a claim to the third party or their insurers then the three year anniversary will not matter.

If you haven’t submitted a claim then you have until the third anniversary of the accident to claim. After that date any potential claim becomes statute barred.

If she’s still suffering then that would explain why they haven’t settled your claim yet. How can they settle when the extent of her injuries and possible long-term repricussioms still aren’t known?

There are different time lines according to recovery...speak to her solicitor they will be able to give accurate advice

P.s. Cases can go on for years, if she's still suffering it is in her interest to wait until she knows the long term prognosis

Agree with this.

If you already have solicitors dealing with it then they will know what to do in relation to the 3 year limitation period. It sounds like you do if she has already had medicals.

If you don't have solicitors involved suggest you take some advice asap.
