I see it more as a pack of wolves mentality at times. I don’t think it is conscious either.

I also think there are antagonistic groups but that is kind of inevitable in any unstructured social setting that doesn’t have common aims and personal agendas are more important than the wider group health.

I saw a post on a horology forum I’m on, LVMH which are French and own plenty of big players in the watch industry such as Tag Heuer, Zenith and Hublot donated hundreds of millions to the repair....the post went on to say there will be tax benefits for this......how much truth there is to this, I have no idea.
