I've spent 2 weeks fighting a chesty flu virus.

Few days away visiting my family in Derbyshire, started to feel better.

Back to Sussex, wake up next day bunged to the eyes with hayfever!

Dreading it, not for myself but the boy child. He suffers, and properly suffers. I honestly don't know how he copes.

I'm genuinely concerned about him driving, he passed his test a month ago. I'm just hoping he doesn't take any chances and drive when he can barely open his eyes, or can't stop sneezing

He's a sensible enough lad, but I'm worried the novelty and freedom will overrule his sensible head.

developed it only in last few years but i take Weleda mixed pollen tablets starting in february they seem to give me a lot of help i dont suffer very much at all now

We were told to give my grandson locally sourced honey.

He had it last year as well.

I had to get the doctor to prescribe some tablets as the over the counter ones didn't help at all.

He came home after being out most of the day, his eyes were so swollen I thought he'd been in a a fight! He told me they had been cutting grass where he was and then the penny dropped "

May your nose never be snotblocked and your eyes never stream like a 75 year old man....

But it is warming up though so can put up with hayfever if the sun is warming my flesh

I grew up in a very rural area, I had ponies/horses, spent my childhood in fields, barns, stables surrounded by everything possible to trigger hayfever. I was fine

Moved to the seaside aged 27.. Hayfever!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I've had it for a few weeks now. My bedroom window is next to the park.

I'm using the d*ug free nasal squirty thing that used to be called Prevalin. It gets rid of the itchy eyes and throat and reduces the streaming nose without the bone thinning from long term antihistamine use.

hayfever is used to describe any allergy which causes those symptoms your allergy could be dust or pollution etc etc only way to know is undergo allergy testing which is not readily available on NHS

You can also put a bit of Vaseline around your nostrils, the pollen will stick to it rather than go up.

Nettle tea and local honey! As local honey as possible it'll have the same polken to ease his symptoms, I used to get it severely to the point I couldn't work and nothing worked.

(he'll need to build it up in his system, so 4-5 cups a day, before summer hits)

Different flora. Apparently some seaside areas have a very diverse plant eco system.

The nurse called my husband's allergic rhinitis. We were in Camber sands on holiday and he got it bad.

Local honey is the answer. Tablespoon morning and night.

Clean pillow cases and shower before bed (transferring pollen)
