Do you believe in soul mates

Hubs is my soul mate he completes me. There is different types of soul mate tho

The first kind of soul mate is the romantic kind that you aren’t meant to be with forever but that delivers powerful lessons. These soul mates tend to be the most in influential teachers in our lives. They’re the ones that provide the heartache, the ones that don’t work out and aren’t meant to work out. They are the ones who help get you from point A to B and make sure you learn the lessons that you need to learn.Mrscxxx

The second type is the one that allows you to be your true self and who stays with you forever. When you’re with the person you’re meant to be with, they don’t bring out your insecurities. They actually make them go away. They bring out the best in you, not the worst. You and your partner are both happy with your true selves, and together you make each other even happier. In this ideal scenario when you’re together, one plus one doesn’t equal two, it equals three.

He or she is the one that makes you better, the one that allows you to be your true self and to feel comfortable in a way you probably felt only when you were a small child. This soul mate lets you be you and helps you be your most authentic self. You meet each other precisely when you’re both ready, not a moment before or a moment after. The expression “timing is everything” is especially true with this kind of soul mate.

The third type is a platonic friend with whom you are always connected to and feel you can share your innermost thoughts and emotions. But there’s no romance and definitely no sex! We all have these good friends; in fact, most of us have experienced many of them in our lifetime. They’re the people who you haven’t seen or spoken to in weeks, months, or years—but whenever you do see or speak to each other, you pick up wherever you left off, as if neither of you had missed a beat. They’re also the ones who you connect with very deeply and frequently for a period in your life. Sometimes the two of you grow apart, or someone moves away or has a life event that distances you. Other times you’ll remain lifelong close friends, even if you see each other only once or twice a year.

Personally I don't believe in a single soul mate, I believe that we all have a range of people who we are or could be compatible with and who we end up with really just depends on who we meet first.

I don't believe that there's one person for everyone because I think we are capable of loving more than one person but equally some people are incapable of loving people too.

For example my partner is my best friend and my partner in life. I trust him one hundred percent and we have an unbreakable connection. But when it came to before I dated him and now when I've been seeing people for years I have no problem in having no emotions for that person and I will never love anyone else. even if we split up I would be single and I'd be absolutely fine with that.

Me and my man are the second ones we met later in life but from the moment we met we have had a crazy time together but we just clicked from then . We just talk about anything together we have never been bored or fed up with each other . I believe he is my true soul mate and I feel we would still be together if we had met 20 years ago . Our adventure on fab has had its up and downs but has been a great learning curve for us but especially for me , he makes me feel good about myself and makes me so happy . I would not ever want to lose him he’s my everything .

If you mean a deep soulful connection with other human beings then yes for sure, but I don’t hold with the idea that you only get one.

Not in the way you say but kind of.

My long term partner and I have been to hell and back together. We have broke up so many times and have so much loss but even when we split up we remain close friends he is my absolute rock and I don't function when hes not in my life.

We will always be in each others lives, even when we broke up he just wanted me to be happy and even suggested that I get in a relationship with someone else.

We are solid now and he supports my life choices he knows everything about me I dont hide anything from him. Even down to the way I feel about other people. He's always supportive.

Powerful words mrs c. I’ve recently called time on this sort of relationship, but I’m still in the healing stage. I have taken from it, and from him, all those lessons and I’m grateful I’ve learnt them. It still hurts though, and I miss him like crazy ... but it’s better off this way. Thanks for sharing. X

I certainly have a number in the 3 category.

I think from a long term relationship viewpoint different people connect with people for different reasons, some positive some less so. Personally finding the right person, and me for them, is the aim. If that's describing a soul mate then yes they absolutely exist.

I thought I had years ago but I was manipulated into believing so. Now I’ve got my number 2 and he’s healed me in ways I can’t believe or thank him enough for. We’ve probably met lots of times over the years, but this time was the right time for us x

I don't believe in forever.

I have been lucky enough to have been loved, warts and all.

That's powerful to be able to be your true self and loved regardless. And love someone else for their true self.

I have never felt I have met my soul mate. It must be a good feeling.

No, I don't believe in soul mates. I think you can have deep and meaning relationships with more than one person in a lifetime. Personally I think holding out for a soul mate or believing that you've lost one is damaging and can stop you from having fulfilling relationships.

No, I don't believe in soul mates. If I did that would mean that I am someones soul mate and no one should be that unfortunate.

No, I don’t believe in soul mates. There are people that you have relationships with that work, whether romantic or platonic. It’s as simple as that for me.

I think it's just a phrase. I don't believe there is any kind of fate or destiny and I don't believe there are only so many people we can connect with.

I do believe in love though and I think that you can fall completely for someone and believe them to be the only person you could ever feel that way about but I think part of that is in accepting their flaws and ignoring the bits that would make them not be your "soul mate".

It also leaves you with a long and lonely life if they leave you by choice or accident
