Travel for work

The right place

I spend at least one night a week (on average) in a hotel while traveling for work. I’ve met a few women in similar situations.

Who here travels for work? Maybe you can find someone that is in a similar location to you.

I either work from home or I’m travelling. Almost all of my work is abroad so unlikely to find anyone I’d really like to meet who just happens to be there. A travel companion is the other possibility but unlikely as well as I’m working all day when Im there

It can be difficult finding other people that travel enough time in advance. I’m lucky that I can be reasonably flexible with when I travel so I can often arrange to be somewhere when my friend is also traveling there. It takes a bit of planning.

I have. The only person to engage in a conversation pulled out a very large bag of 10p coins to pay his drink and I lost interest as he counted out the money.

Yes I do travel with work. And meet.

Sometimes it's a lot of energy and effort though isn't it?

Like after a long day in meetings and stuff, I don't want to be dolling myself up to look beautiful. I want to take my bra and tights off, have a bath, glass of wine, wank it out of me and then sleep.

But you build the connection before - if you know you're going to be in a particular area message a person and talk to them and see what happens.

I am not working this year, plan to spend the summer meandering through the USA on my bike. Until then I commute daily to the bottom of my garden.

When I do work, I usually find out which town or country I will be in about a day before I have to be there, so meets are not really viable.

That job was annoying.. supposed to be Manchester, on day one I was sent to Belfast!

Though I did get to see some spectacular bits of Ireland, and a long weekend in the in the sun when the UK was closed for snow

Maybe we can sort something in the autumn?

That's very true, who wants to be arsing around on fab, trimming your pubes or getting dressed up when you're in a fantastic city with colleagues, you have work to do, money to earn, ppl to network with or sights to see.... I travel a lot in both my jobs. The first job I travel to same places for 3 - 4 nights a week. The second one when we get new contracts out we can travel a fair distance for work and over longer periods. I like travelling so it doesn't really bother me plus in both jobs I work with either one other person (job 1) or a solid team (job 2) which helps. Plus both are busy jobs so no real time to stop.

I do often look at the people that stay with us Monday to Friday (we have a fair few) and while it’s lovely having them here as they are all pretty nice to chat too, I do feel for them having to keep moving about and never in the same bed, being away from their loved ones.

Always nice at Christmas though when the regulars give you gifts (well we wasn’t here long enough last Christmas but the older staff did).

"I do often look at the people that stay with us Monday to Friday (we have a fair few) and while it’s lovely having them here as they are all pretty nice to chat too, I do feel for them having to keep moving about and never in the same bed, being away from their loved ones.

Always nice at Christmas though when the regulars give you gifts (well we wasn’t here long enough last Christmas but the older staff did)."

I'd stop with you before flying out from Gatwick

Do you ever have fab guests? Do you mix business with pleasure?"

As far as we know we’ve only had one guest that was on fab, we think! That’s the reason we don’t show our faces so it doesn’t get awkward, you never know what might happen though, I have a fantasy of doughnut flirting with a woman and taking her off to bed, so hopefully one day lol x

We have been blocked by someone we assume was a guest here we couldn’t tell as it was very much a cock pic profile. But never mixed business with pleasure

I (Hmm) either work from home (commute - 3 steps) or travel, generally overseas. Lucky to have been to a few fun/interesting/unusual places...but equally many times see nothing but an airport hotel that could be anywhere! Least we get to spend the Avios on ourselves!

Hiding in the shadows

I live in a village.

1 job I can walk to in under 7 minutes, the other 2minutes.

2 jobs I do drive to, due to equipment I need to take, less than 10mins

I've also blocked pretty much anyone in a 10mile radius of my house

So not much chance of any fun on route

"I wish. It sounds super exciting"

Before you start in a job that includes business travel, it sounds great.

Then the reality kicks in when you start - there's the waiting around (train stations, airports, taxi queues or traffic jams) plus the lottery of good hotel v bad hotel and good restaurant v bad restaurant.
