Saw this film the other day, thought it was great.

In the film there is a virtual reality based internet that everyone is plugged into. Their are in-game out of game micro and macro transactions to make. Cut and thrust of it is.. you can do anything you want. Race cars, shoot bad guys, run from the cops.. online date..

I was just wondering about how a virtual fab would feel. The Lounge would be awesome. I imagine a luxurious hotel lobby with lots of arguments going on

I haven't read it but I have been told it is amazing by at least 5 people

Like most book to film they couldn't get everything into the allotted time of the movie

Trouble is you can full on mask your true self like the film likes to poke fun at.

But I thought it'd be pretty cool anyway. I'd try to make my Avatar walk talk and act like me.. only with my schlong wrapped round my shoulders

I wonder if we would inadvertently leave out our blemishes and scars etc and leave our digital representation of ourselves looking more like it was filtered or airbrushed?

Great film by the way and good choice for a thread topic OP. The Lounge bar would be pretty spectacular I'd say!
