"Got several friends coming to mine tomorrow. Apart from one of them not liking fish there are no specific requirements. Only problem is I'm now at a loss what to cook I would like to do something really special, any ideas please and I can shop for the ingredients tomorrow " I just did a mean, easy fish curry. x1 jar pattaks korma/madras/Masala paste. x Diced onions. x 1 can coconut milk x small pot of double cream x 5 basa fillets x bag of frozen prawns x 8 medium sized large diced potatoes. - Half boil the spuds. Skins or not, up to you. - Fry onions gently. Add all paste. Add cock milk and cream. Simmer till nicely mixed. - Add fish and spuds. Both will cook in curry broth. - Add frozen prawns at last minute.. remove off heat when prawns are just right. Fookin lush. I went with Korma paste.

"Not sure if it's special enough, but I would do a slow cooker teriyaki chicken, leave it to cook itself, then just serve with Jasmine rice, stir fry veg if you like, and garnished with spring onions and sesame seeds. Don't forget the sesame oil, omg I'm drooling now! " Do you buy the curry paste or build the species up yourself?
