What's the best etiquette?

They ask, you send.

Mine is simple

If I want to chat to them as I find them attractive , I’ll send my ugly mug shot

I think it's good manners to send before asking. I get messages asking for face pics off silhouette profiles asking for mine. If after chatting for a bit they send, then I do too. Just my opinion x

I'm not a huge fan of reading on a profile "must send face pic", especially if said profile has nothing but a black avatar on it. If I like someone though I'll generally send a pic with my message, saves chatting for a bit before sending it and then maybe they don't like it when they do get it and they stop chatting

Ascertain comfort zones. If they want it immediately, ask yourself if you're prepared to do that, and if not, leave them alone. If they don't or don't say and you're talking, send when comfortable or after discussion.

If they message you with demands, whether or not they've attached pictures or not, kick into touch.
