Question for the guys- If you message a lady and she deletes your mail after you have sent a face photos and a bespoke message,

do you then block them to prevent them appearing in your results???

I just did it and actually felt like I was being super childish

Yes it's best to block so, as you say, they do not appear in future searches. Not childish at all, just common sense.

It’s not childish at all. The block button is there to be used. Entirely up to you to choose why and when you use it

I do, most of the time. If they aren't interested then it's an easy way for me to remember this months down the line. If I had forgotten and click on their profile then it says you can't message and hey Presto! I'm reminded lol

I block most though due to bitchy status updates

I’ve done this for someone who used to update their status all the time and it filled up my local searches.

It lets me think have the choice, which as a bloke on Fab is quite a rare thing

it my be insecurities or something but I had a momentary thought....what if I mail them in 6 months and they decide that they like my mail

I think the caveman gene developed on Fab is working it's way into my system

You 100% have a choice!!! I have learnt quite quickly that a sending a few face photos gets a response over 50% of the time. Even if it's a thanks but not for me. That's the game changer in my opinion

Don't think that will happen, in this situation, people rarely change their mind.

What if you mail them a second time and they reply "take the hint already" and block you? Lol had that when I had messaged a user who was new months ago, and then tried again because I thought maybe they hadn't replied at the start due to getting bombarded with messages. It's a fucking minefield this shit

Is also handy to ensure they only get one chance

When I was new on fab and politely declined someone I was wasn't interested in, I got blocked a few times and I got surprised. But then I spoke to a few guys who said that some men will do this to prevent future messaging which I agreed was fair.

I block those who I don't agree with, have something in their profile I find offputting, are into something I'm not and a whole host of reasons.

Don't be a slave to your sent items. But use the block button as you see fit. Its a tool, not a punishment.

What if she deleted your message because she thought you way out of her league, or looked through your verifications and saw women who looked nothing like her, and possibly thought why is he messaging me? Everyone has insecurities.

Use the block button the way you want to. We often block people to save them and us time in future. It isn't an insult

But it says you have message the profile you are looking at and they haven’t replied (well in my case ??) so I don’t send another message obviously they aren’t interested no need to block them as it’s a woman’s proactive to change there minds well I live in hope hahaha

It felt childish to me. So I only block if they're rude.

Tough question because Ive had messages deleted only for them to message me further down the line.

Instinct says block, not so much to avoid them in future but that I think its downright rude not to at least acknowledge a message someones clearly taken effort over but even then you never know if theyve got a 100 messages overnight and yours just gets lost?

Hiding in the shadows

How about using your private notes?

Copy the message you sent, the date, the outcome.

She read, deleted, but didn't block you.

It maybe her inbox was overflowing on a certain day, I've mass deleted messages, I may have missed an absolute gem

If I really wasn't intrested in someone after looking at the message, I would block to prevent them remessaging weeks, months later.

You've got nothing to lose by sending another message, unless you send her the exact same message and she realises its just a generic copy & paste

I only block if they're like a broken record wihth their statuses every 20 minutes, yes we get it you want this and that but don't repeat it over and over and over, also if their personality is ugly and toxic they get blocked.

That's why I don't get annoyed by being ignored. Even Fab says it's not meant as rudeness. So easy for a man's message to be lost in an inbox. Initially it felt rude, till you see things from the other side of the looking glass.

I only tend to block anyone if they are being an annoying twat somehow.

When you click on a profile, it shows if you've messaged them before.

I've definitely had women message me who I've messaged in the past and not had a response. I put it down to the volume of mail women get...

In all honesty I often don’t notice the first message a guy sends as - Like many women - I get lots of them! I’ve met guys before who only managed to get my attention on the third or forth message!

They don’t message continuously though - they leave it a few weeks or so between messages!

I think that’s a good plan tbh!
