Continue here, it is fun to see what we all are doing and what routine you do. I am having a rest day today, what about you? I follow a full body workout, it is good cos of the frequency of body parts and also it gives 96hrs of rest which is perfect recovery time for the protein synthesis recovery time

Just got back

I'm sure the spaghetti hoops on toast and the bakewell slice I've just scoffed have undone the calories I shed but hey ho

I feel better in myself physically and mentally after a good gym session and that is my main driver

Hefty Hideaway

I haven’t been for a fortnight. I pulled my shoulder then got struck down with a horrible cold and chest infection. I’m sick of being ill now so I’m en route. It’ll either kill or cure me.

Remember if it's a 5 day you need to reverse the rotation each week

3 x 3 @ 200kg squats today. Trainer has dropped most of my assistance work as I approach peak for my comp, not going to help now anyway only 4 weeks out.

Speed work on bench tomorrow 8 x 2 @ 110kg given my shoulder is a little iffy.

What are your goals ?

Although maintaining body balance is important focusing upon goals is an effective way of improving balance

Injury rehab mostly. In that I've found that I enjoy exercise (in some ways) for the first time ever, so trying to capitalise on that. Nothing specific apart from minimising the injury, which I should remedy. But it's the first time I've gone to the gym for reasons other than "because exercise is good for you and I should".

Only cardio I do is walking, even pre comp. Sometimes mountain bike but only because I enjoy it

Undecided of whether to train or not today, due to train arms. Gotta have a seperate day because the stubborn fuckers wont grow

I went earlier today, what about you? I did a quick full body workout and I focused on my chest. I did a new pb on the incline chest press of 1 rep max of 96kg, it is my favourite chest exersice. I like to pyramid the sets down from 10 reps to 1, for example 10, 8, 6, 4 and 1

I work the other way as I feel I'm stronger at that start of the workout. So if I'm on a heavy chest day, I'll work on 4 heavy sets of 4 - 6 reps on the flat bench then 2 or 3 burn down sets of 10 - 12 reps. Then I'll move on to the incline bench.

Broken toes slowed me down for a few weeks, then the chest virus/flu for over a week, away visiting my mum, then came home & full blown hayfever has floored me since Tues.

Camberley occasionally doncaster

I smashed a couple of full body conditioning/cardio workouts over Easter

1st workout

5 rounds of

500m run (including a 100m sprint)

20 squats

20 press ups

30 sec plank

All with a 20kg rucksack. In boots.

2nd workout

7 rounds of 500m fartlek

20 sec squat hold

20 jump split lunge

20 high/low planks

20 narrow grip press from bench

20 triceps dips.

Again with 20kg rucksack. In boots

Think I might smash a half speed chest workout tonight..(every rep 4 sec down, 4 sec up)

Hiding in the shadows

After much procrastinating, and staring at my gym bag.

I finally dragged myself back in today

An hours cardio.

20 mins each, bike, x trainer, treadmill.

15 min kettlebell core workout

I may have uttered some very unlady like phrases under my breath.

Be doing that everyday for rest of the week.

Back on the weights from next Monday

Last night was a quick shoulders workout.

Pyramid set of barbell press, 20@ 20kg, 15@30 kg, 10@40kg, 5@50kg.

15 wide grip pull ups

Isometric dumbbell lat raises 10@ 15kg then same for isometric bent over lat raises.

Repeat the whole thing 4 times.

Yep. Been once already and will be there tonight. I’m feeling a bit sad because the Club I go to is closing for refurbishment until October and have made all the staff except the manager redundant and are making them reapply for jobs if they want to work at the new place when it reopens. The new owners who have made the decision aren’t sharing any plans about what it will be like with the customers. The whole thing stinks really. So sadly we’re looking at moving elsewhere- I loved the place, it was the first place I’ve ever been able to stick at it because of the home from home friendly environment. I hope I remain as motivated at the new place.

Aaah rest! I think I read about this once. In an old book. My memory is a little foggy but I'm sure it's either a broad leaved plant favoured by a Guatemalan tree frog. Or was it a small snake infested rock just west of Tuvalu? Either one..

Bit of an all over co mentioning session today.. filling in the bits I feel I missed out on..

Isolation exercises on legs, load of core work and finished off with 5 sets of 20m farmers walk with 50kg dumbbells.

Might squeeze in a weighted boot run over the weekend.. aim for 5km..

It doesn’t look that way - hike will n membership fees by from by 33%, champagne served by the new pool with hydrotherapy section. A new restaurant that will seat 80. It won’t have the same feel at all and the staff have been treated appallingly. The new employment contract the manager has been offered, I’m not even sure it’s legal.

It is clearly aimed at a different clientele. I’m not sure how it aims to compete. We’ve decided to join a new one and are very unlikely to return.

I've got the grumpy humps

Restarted Monday, after a little break, new plan to get me back upto where I was a month ago

All motivated, raring to go.

Then I gave blood yesterday & got a serious talking too from the nurse about no strenuous excercise for at least 24hrs

Aaaargh

So enforced rest day today

Box set catch up & housework is as vigorous as I'm getting then
