I don’t fear death. As a spiritualist person we believe that life is eternal the soul lives on and it’s the body that dies. We mourn for the person that died Because we miss who they were

No I do not fear death.

I fear pain and prolonged illness or old age. ( or I don't relish it shall we say )

You ask why not ? It's because I have long accepted that death is part of the life cycle of every living creature. It's inevitable.

I think people fear death because as a society we tend to hide away from it. We even make up ridiculous phrases for it as if this somehow eases unexpected passing. We dress up death and promise the gullible 'everlasting life' if they serve our God.

What is important is that you make the most of what days you have and treat each person you meet as a brother or sister regardless of how their 'suffering and ignorance' cause them to treat you as less.

I have ten maybe fifteen years left on the planet before I am dust and reborn in my children and grandchildren.

Do good while you are here.

My only fear, not living while I can.

I'm fighting that

Pointless to even consider unless you have the ability to influence or change something.

If you're walking a tightrope then by all means consider death, but even then it's kinda pointles unless you change your course. If you're at home and signed into fab then just enjoy the tits, cock and discussion and be happy

No. Death has held a fascination for me dont ask why...I guess seeing the first maggot infest bird carcase as a kid...but not scared. Maybe the question should be are you scared about how you die?

I am more woried about having no control over how I leave this life than death itself.

Emotionaly I rarely cry at funerals (probably only twice) not because I am not sad but because it's part of life...just like night and day.

I look at the leaves on the trees and see how they wither and die, only to be broken down into basoc componenets to be soaked up again by the trees etc..I think (and this is my own personal view)..our lives may be like that.

Perhaps our fear of death comes from the fear of the unknown.

We don't know what might be on the other side after death. Do we enter eternal paradise or eternal damnation? Do we see our loved ones again or see nothing but darkness? Do we transcend to another plain of existence or are we instantly reborn into the world with no memory from our past life?

These are some of the things that people probably fear when it comes to death depending on what they believe in.

Exactly this, which is why I think it’s easier for people with beliefs probably. I would say I’m more agnostic than atheist but I do sometimes stress about dying. I just stop myself thinking about it.

Well you've been dead once as you never existed before Mum and Dad met. So you're only going back to where you have been.

The way I have always looked at it is, your body is a vessel, very little control over it, cut yourself you bleed try using your brain to stop the bleeding waste of time, stick a plaster on it. If you get the flu, your body fights it not you.

However we can control certain parts of our personality our inner self, thoughts and feelings if you will. Maybe that's your soul the part that continues a journey once the body is no longer needed

Keeps me sane thinking of it like that

Most people fear death it’s natural to fear death that’s our inbuilt survival instinct, we run from tigers for a very good reason! people’s survival instinct gets stronger the older we are too, young children don’t fear death nor do people with cognitive problems or people with severe depression, or people that are incredibly ill, they either don’t know about death, have forgotten about fear of death or they simply welcome death As it will mean peace

But as we get older we get used to death and we realise that we will die no matter what and we also learn that people do suffer prior to death, no one wants to suffer as well, because of our understanding of death you find people are feeling they have no fear of it. But they are very unlikely to put themselves at risks or live a dangerous life.

I fear death i don’t want to die early, old and in my sleep would be lovely but that is actually not that common, but if I get seriously ill I’d also want assisted suicide if I knew my last months would be painful or my quality of life would be terrible I’d like to think I could have some say in my death if that happened.

"I don’t fear death itself just the way it might happen "

This is how I feel.

I don't want any prolonged painful illness or dementia.

I fear being old and incapacitated as well - I would rather be dead than not be able to wipe my own arse

This is my biggest fear, losing my physical independence.

If Death ever comes for me I'm going out the way I came in... Kicking and screaming.

I feel sad when I think about me dying. I won't be here to help my family any more and they will be sad. The sadness will become less and less but I don't want them to feel the pain of losing me and have that big hole in their lives, where I was.

Having had a big cancer scare last year I would say yes death does scare me. But when you come close to it you then take a different outlook to life . You realise that all the silly things you worried about before are pointless. And you live everyday as best you can.

No. spent so long fighting to remember how to live that death has zero fear for me now. I'm grateful for every day and every smile I could have missed out on.

I am not saying this applies to everyone, but i think a lot of people who say they are not afraid of death in any way are exaggerating a little.

I think if you ever find yourself in a situation where you think you might only have 24 hours to live most people would have some fear, whether it be on the feeling as when death approaches or even the though of not being present anymore.

I personally believe there is something beyond this physical life but still don't want to find out for a while yet lol
