In all honesty I can't really give a bollox. They've been scrapping each other for centuries over who owns what bit of fookin sand, I hope they all kill each other and be done with it. The West is kidding itself if it thinks we can make a difference in the Middle East as all that will happen is they'll stop killing each other for a bit, start killing us, and when we fook off they'll go back to killing each other again.

lets not get involved in syria and it's problems,we got enough of our own surely?.

after syria it would be iran,then somalia and we dont need it.

I agree ... if we get involved it could be a domino effect. World war 3 before we know it.

And what wishy says above is spot on as well. Sadly you just cant see peace over there or in that region

They could have said the same about Europe last century. Most of the Middle East is suffering the legacy of a British post-Imperial botch-up. Perhaps one day we will see a peaceful region. I'm not overly optimistic but fingers crossed.

Far too many nosey bizzy bodys sticking there ours in wanting to try and change the world. Shit happens fuck um its there problem not ours is it. If you want to do something good and usefull then get your arses onto our UK streets at night and start tackling the homless problems and feeding people who have it very hard night after night and face fear and violence around every corner whilst DICK HEADS lay in bed at night thinking ooooow I dont like that on the news about another country thats miles away from us and has fuck all to do with us, hmmmmm I think I will start a debate about it on a swinging site first thing in the morning

lol get ya selfs booked onto BBC Question time if your that bothered or write to your local MPs lol

I've researched a lot into this, think about the richest people in the world. Most are oil tycoons, a lot of oil in the middle east they don't have. As oil is limited and will one day run out, whoeva controls all the oil, pretty much controls the world.

These people own a lot of companies including media outlets, if they want the population to believe something, they will have it put on. They will make the world believe we need to go to war and that these countries are a threat.

Ron Paul is who the Americans need as next president as he is not controlled, he believes in getting the real answers from 9/11 etc.

Syria does need help but it will only lead to war.

Seem to remember this being said about Hitler to - and the world is a much smaller community today and things which happen in the middle east and elsewhere can come back and bite us in the ass - the trick is knowing where and when to get involved

it is one of those subjects where i do actually get the "do nothing... i don't give two figs, not my problem" side of the arguement....

but it doesn't sit easy with me at all.....

i may have even have been on that side.... that was until I got the chance to visit a certain type of camp in poland years ago.. and the eeery "do nothing" side ebbed away...

so let me just throw a few situations out there....

bosnia..... rwanda.... dafur.....

if we had the "well its not our problem mate" attitude and not stepped in attitude, how many millions of people would have died then....

there is a great quote by a person called edmund burke

"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"

in those situations above i am glad people finally saw sence and moved in... although it was late....

and if it is one think not to learn... but to let history potentially repeat itself would be a shame to everyone

As a country that is quite small in comparison to the 100s of other countries out there, some who seem to be doing very well for themselves, do nothing.

We are pretty much back in recession, seem to help every country we can, mainly those with oil and these big rich countries still do nothing.

There are plenty of countries in the world where horrendous things happen to people at the hands of their rulers. Colombia for example, where death squads go out and 'cleanse' the streets of street children. India, where the aboriginals on the Andaman Islands are gang raped by Indian soldiers and their lands taken away by Bengali settlers with the nod and the wink of the State Government, and where the Untouchables who deal with the carcasses of dead buffaloes have to live amidst those corpses and are not allowed into villages even to buy rice. Thailand where pre-pubescent girls from the hill tribes are abducted and forced to become prostitutes whilst their villages are burnt to the ground if there is any protest. The neo-liberals and neo-conservative capitalists don't pick on these countries , and they don't pick on them because they belong to their club. They pick only on the countries who don't belong to thieir club and don't want to, such as Iraq, Libya and Syria. But only if they can't fight back of course. No thought of picking on China over its occupation of Tibet and treatment of Tibetans, or on China-backed Sri Lanka for its sickening treatment of the Tamils, or on China backed nuclear missile armed North Korea.

Television-the best brain washing medium there is.
