Or stand up on a train or bus to give a seat to someone.

Because when you do, you’re either a misogynist or reeking toxic masculinity.

Don’t you know how *offensive* it is to hold a door open for someone

Because women would think that the man wants sex and would be entitled to it.

Is this one of those things where something happens once to you during the day, and then it leads to an exaggerated “why don’t people _____ any more?!” Rant

Sign of old age that is

"people hold doors open for each other anymore...

Hubs messaged me that a young lady offered him a seat on the train this morning, and there was an elderly gent behind him. (hubs)

Hubs didn’t take the young lady up on her offer but he was perplexed.

Did she think he was old? (Yes) or was she being respectful also a yes... he didn’t say how soon afterwards she got off the train...

Just hope you don't get a feminist that kicks off for opening the door ... Boy that was fun.

I always hold doors open for others, if they want it open or not. To be fair they often have it slammed behind them.

They do - a very kind gentleman opened the door for me coming out of itsu today.

And it must have been be a gentleman day today because a group of young lads apologised to me for being in the way as I was walking by

I think this is all because I'm an old lady now - but I like to think that people are just nice.

There and to the left a bit

I always do, regardless of the person's gender, age etc - always have done - the only problem is when there's a stream of people coming through and you end up stood there that long holding the thing you lose the people you're with (and who you first held the door open for!!)
