When hubby proposed to me he took me out for the day, on the anniversary of us meeting. We sat on a bench at the top of Hatton Flight and he proposed with a haribo ring, made me cry

We went to town the following week and chose the ring together, from a small independent jeweller shop. We chose a cluster design and had it changed, rotated the cluster 90 degrees. It took them 6 weeks to do but was worth the wait

I didn’t want a ring but I got one a few months after he asksd me to marry him - a year to the day before we married. I’ve no idea where it’s from, how much it cost & I don’t care. He chose it for me and it means more than anything x

I found a working jewellers and had one designed and made.

Got to choose which diamond went in it, got to see a resin cast of the design before it was cast and then free lifetime cleaning as it’s a custom made item.

If your fiancee to be likes quirky jewellery, try Stephen Einhorn or The Great Frog. We both have pieces from these places and they are superb.

Would second the bespoke/cast option. Our wedding rings were designed by my ex-bro on law and cast from white gold in Hatton Garden for the price of a low- to medium cost High Street jobby.

I love the great frog and got my eye on the skull engagement ring, just need to find the guy. I got my wedding ring years ago at Jeremy hoye in Brighton. He does unusual rings but pricey.
