I noticed a while ago on and away from here, quite a few women take photos and cover their midrifts. It seems they do it as some method of disguise but with me it has the opposite effect and it draws my attention more than the pics without. Anyone else find this?

I have a large tummy, I either take angles to make it look smaller or I suck in like mad. I don’t want to show it all hanging out. That’s saved for people I get to know much better and don’t really care. I’m an apple shape so we carry all the weight around the middle.

i'm sure they know, any partner they have been with thinks they are amazing(I hope).

I guess I'd like the same lattitude on occasions, I wont fit someones bill, but I think I'm worth a chance.

I firmly belive no-one is beyond anyones 'level', a swipe left or right is great for those that think thats what they need, for others, in this scene, some of us are a little deeper(most sites are the same lol, but in swinging you really know most instances are about nothing being a date upon a date upon a date whether each has led to a fuck or not, and you dont really need to question a past/present partner about their 'antics'. fabs designed for sex, regardless of some views.

I’m a size 16, sometimes an 18 on top. I don’t work out at all and have a large middle. Just clever with angles.

They aren't rolls. Wish we werent talking rolls Im hungry now. Im currently upside down sucking on to get the right angle pose where I look like a bronzed adonis. Currently using the darkness filter and its working.

I have a big stomach naturally. It’s bigger than seen in my pics. I don’t want to let it hang out. That’s my insecurity but only in pics. I’m not bothered so much when I get naked with a guy, I let it all hang and have fun.

It's a natural reflex to cover the most uncomfortable part.. I do offer a clear disclaimer to anyone likely to meet that poorly hidden gut well and truly exists and is not very photogenic..

And I dont like my "waist" it's in inverted commas, the only time its inverted. But I am honest about it, I make it very clear to those I am chatting with, as I would hate for them to be surprised or disappointed when we met.

I am not, however, gonna put up photos of it looking bad, it would depress me.

I never know what to do with my hand in pics so often it’s on my hip or my stomach but I have no issue with my stomach at all

Made me more conscious of where my hand lays now haha!

Unfortunately a lot of women have insecurities about their bodies so I respect those that do, but wishes they didn’t have to be.

I do this when I'm with someone too. It's an automatic habit because I feel insecure.

I openly admit in my profile that I use angles too

I genuinely don't care if that makes someone look for my flaws more (they actually aren't that hard to spot) it makes me feel a little better about myself.

I've had 3 pregnancies, although I don't have many stretch marks, I do have some loose skin and it's a choice of slight pot or loose skin depending on my ever-fluctuating weight. So it's never going to be my favourite body part,and it's not always that I am comfortable with it totally exposed. Whether or not this makes others focus more on it isn't what I think about, it's my own insecurity.

I'm lucky as I have D to take my pictures, he is fantastic at angles, and yes I do cover my tummy with my hand, because it's big and flabby. On the plus side D will kiss it and lick it so this gives me hope.

I don’t like my stomach so do try to cover it or use clever angles. When on a meet I tend to let it all hang out. I know it’s my insecurities but I’m more body conscious now I’ve lost some weight and have a wobbly tummy than I was before x

I also remember feeling that way after children if you believe you can then maybe its possible who knows.

"I would like to say I'm lucky but I'm not really exercise and diet have given me the gift of self confidence to show my stomach...and I'm proud of it.

Even when I was a gym bunny the post-pregnancy loose skin was there. No diet or exercise is going to change that

I am, there's just no getting back the elasticity in skin that's been stretched too far.

But this is my point exactly. There is nothing to not like about your stomach yet you stating not liking it is making me look hard to see possible flaws, yet i see non.

My tummy was really swollen that day. I look 6 months pregnant right now but that’s because of troublesome fibroid or cyst. Hospital next week to find out what’s wrong. I wore a dress that hid it the best I could when I met you. It’s not fun right now.

I hadnt noticed but i like to keep mine covered up if taking photo because of stretch marks, i noticed they looked horrible in one photo i had.

I tried some stretch marks cream from mothercare and baby oil only my skin kept itching and i scratched it and made it bleed, pregnancy made my skin very thin.

Doughnut took some shots of me recently and while I know I’m fat I was mortified how I looked so they got deleted! I used to cover my stomach but now I avoid trying to take any photos to include it, I don’t want to see it so I don’t expect others to want to, in the past on the rare occasion I’ve got a good angle and went with it though.

Louise is the same, post pregnancy she started to hide her tummy and tends to wear lingerie that covers it up. I love her tummy personally and always tell her so.

To cover up a part they are not comfortable with, I'd assume. Though you may find your gaze wandering to the midriff area, the midriff area is covered with a hand, so it's a non issue if your gaze wanders there and it makes the female far more comfortable posting that picture

So it looks like we can probably draw conclusions as to why its done - body conciousness is an overwhelming factor currently it appears. It will be interesting to see if / when attitudes alter, as it did with pubic hair for example.
