I used to do it but I think part of the reason that many don't is because of work attitudes towards the situation. Many companies didn't recognise men as caregivers until recently and most still won't.

Thank god I no longer have them!! I would pass out, be sick, get crippling pain. I had endometriosis, adenomyosis & PMDD. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone even male!!

Womens birth control was pushed to market within 10 years of development (by two women, I might add) in a time where safety standards were much more lax.

During the last 10 years I frequently deprioritised my work for childcare arrangements. Because I was making that decision it was easier than for those impacted by the patriarchal assumptions that still prevail in so many organisations.. Much work is being done, but unable to be as effectivel as it could be, because the imbalance of power between the genders still prevails. Dominator hierarchies are still the predominant way of governing organisations. Until those are transformed our progress in this area will be limited and down to individuals just trying to do their best with awareness.

Why am I a "clever clogs"? It's just basic medical science. Scientific effort and resources go into all areas of human suffering, whether male or female. The different sexes have both common and separate issues that are dealt with by the medical research community, but physiologically, women are more complicated than men. The reproductive process alone has many different disciplines of study dedicated to it. As for your first point 3, I completely agree. As to the second part of your second point 3, why am I an idiot?

There have been studies into the "pain bias" that shows how women are less likely to be taken as seriously as men when complaining of acute pain, are less likely to be given opioids than men, are likely to wait much longer in A&E, and when prescribed drugs the waiting times are longer.

They have started to trial free sanitary products in poorer areas of Scotland. All Secondary Schools also have a what is called a Red box (why red, probably the worst name for it, but hey ho) so young ladies can have sanitary products when required. Not ideal, but food banks also have and ask for sanitary products.

Everything on the list is relevant to both sexes, sanitary towels aren’t, there’s no equivalent for men, so to make it more balanced make them free.

If men’s lives were debilitated because of the pain, the mess and the cost I’m fairly sure something would have happened by now.

Interestingly though many women politicians also don’t think there’s an issue with the cost or VAT on sanitary products. Strange breed.

2019 and we have young girls who can’t get to school because their parents can’t/won’t buy them sanitary products. It’s shameful really. Girls are starting their periods earlier and cannot possibly get these things for themselves. But you can get involved, look at the Red Box Project and support where you can

I answered your question (it was a yes/no) and I’ve said on here my opinion. Not sure why I have to give you an education on period poverty for the benefit of getting to post my opinion? There’s plenty of resources and google is your friend, “period poverty” will find you all the info you need. I’m not campaigning, I’m commenting. Plenty of people have explained on the thread, that you don’t agree is absolutely fine.
