"Children singing is like nails down a blackboard But so cute! I never knew tuneless wailing could be so adorable " No. Just No. For anyone who wants to get a confession out of me, play me a CD of a junior school choir I'll cough quicker than a first time sucker with a bad gag reflex

"Try to get him into cricket. Of all the sports my son did I found cricket to be the most relaxing, and civilised, to watch. I spent many a summer's evening slumped on a chair, Pimms in hand, quietly clapping his runs. " That sounds blissful.

In secondary school we went to a competition and won with 88 points

" It really was, although, I took him out of the area as the local team had the same parents like the football parents, and I wanted to avoid them.

"I really, really don't like taking my son to football. I hate football and secretly wish he'd found another passion, like bird watching or crochet. Standing at the side of the pitch making small talk is my idea of torture and it's always cold or rainy, sometimes both. I didn't factor this sort of thing in when making the decision to further the species, it came as a bit of a shock. But, seeing him enjoy himself is magical and it suddenly makes it all worth it. What undesirable aspects of parenting do you endure for your small people? " Shopping! The extra time and money spent schlepping round the supermarket for other’s benefit! Sheesh!! On a slightly separate note, more than happy if you want to share the front seat of my car at football matches, you stay warm, though can’t guarantee you won’t get wet

They need to chill the fuck out!

Its a sport that turns young boys into young men..... Not 90 mins spent with other young lads surrounded by competitive angry parents, when they're in the 14-16 range they're with adult males for a full day and learn more about becoming a man in the correct way. We. Are ditching the football this morning and going to the cricket club to help get the ground ready for the new season, the boys are looking forward to seeing all the blokes and helping out, plus there's the bonus that I have 40 rashers of bacon and 24 rolls that I'll be prepping for all the attendees!!
