So, Spring has sprung and the house needs a Spring clean.

I've bought Marigolds, cloths, disinfectant, Febreze, window cleaner and bleach but I have no motivation.

Where shall I start?

Wait until the weather is good so you can open all the doors and windows to get rid of all those chemicals

By hiring a cleaner.

Motivation is my biggest issue, as even when it's clean as a whilste mine looks like shite due to needing redecorating

Manchester (she/her)

Pick a small space, and get it in shape, then pick another small space. I find it easier to say "this corner" than a whole room or house.

My house is a dust magnet. I don't know where it all comes from.

I actually feel like crying thinking of all the hours this is going to take me

I usually do a room at a time, it's the dust I can't handle at the moment.

Make a list of the individual jobs room by room, make tick boxes next to each thing. Very satisfying seeing the boxes get filled.

At the moment it seems to be all dusting. I'll do one giant box for dust and get that filled

Set yourself a plan and stick to it, here's an example to try and you'll feel a lot better for it!

1. Log off fab.

2. Take all the cleaning chemical bottles and put them in a washing up bowl.

3. Have a motivational cuppa.

4. Move the bowl into the first room.

5. Pop into town for lunch.

6. Go back home.

7. Log back onto Fab.

8. Fab all of Fever Tree's pics.

9. Take the bowl and place it back in the kitchen.

Hey presto, you have tidied up something in the first room!

10. Go back to Porn Hub and treat yourself to a celebratory diddle

I quite like the sound of this. I was going to start tomorrow but I think I'll do the planning tomorrow and think about starting Sunday.

I usually do 20 minutes of work and a 20 minute rest, with a nap in the afternoon. I think I'm going to need to schedule in a couple more naps though.

I agree. It’s tough work. Just thinking about it makes me want to nap

The smallest room in the house. By the time you've finished it, you can either sit down and enjoy the accomplishment, or the cleaning juju is restored and you'll fly through the rest of the place.

Music is the best motivation for me!

I put on Deadpool soundtracks

Start in one room and work your way around.

I love deep cleaning when I get time to - go follow Mrs Hinch!

Urgh!

I hate cleaning.

I love it when it's clean but the effort of getting it all done makes me bored and exhausted before I've even started!

I usually have a giant cup of coffee so I'm buzzing a little bit and then do bits at a time with breaks to unbore myself.

I'm ignoring mine this weekend

Fuck it
