The birds help themselves to the dry cat food (Go Cat) I put out for my puss.

It's on a bench protected from the elements using the top section of a cat litter box.

I have watched robins, black birds, thrushes etc., going in and out to help themselves from my kitchen window.

The cat has a bell on her collar, so they can hear her as she approaches.

we put load of fat balls out (extra buggy blend apparently) for the birds in the garden, then the casts get a nice bit of protein rich fresh food when they catch a bird or two

I just keep my cats in for a few hours, that way the tree in my garden that is loaded with red berries, is actually accessible for a change- theres a big fat blackbird on there now!

Birmingham

I love feeding my birds and watching them from my kitchen window. They have 2 seed feeders, a nut feeder, homemade fat balls and a tray with seed for the ground feeding birds.

Went out at 7 before my walk to knock the snow off, top up with fresh seed and pour some hot water into the frozen bird bath so they could have a drink.

Wish someone would feed me so well

My hubby always puts bird seed, nuts and bread all year round, and water in a bird bath.

We have a pole with fat balls and nuts hanging . OH bought a loaf and we mixed it with cooked rice this morning. Our garden is always filled with birds as they love the bird seed left from our parrots. dont forget fresh water to drink and bathe ..

My two cats have had every collar known to woman on them, and the longest one has lasted has been an hour Only chance of putting a bell on either of them would be to superglue the fecking thing on

A world of my own

I always make sure there is food out for the birds, especially in weather like this. Have put out nuts, fat balls, mealworms and some left over bread from yesterday.

East Grinstead

Have had home made fat cones with seeds and stuff hanging out all winter. Got a nice cover for Christmas that keeps the snow off of them as they hang.

Also the peanut feeder has a nice wide top to keep snow off the stands.

Got up this morning, and from the bid size gaps in snow on fences and trees could see they had been having their breakfast.

Neighbours cat sits on the bird table, so that usually is blocked by plant pots, but still leaves room for other bits like water.

Was good to see the wildlife footprints in garden as they came out from under the various shrubs. Not sure what fish in the pond make of it all.
