When I send a message to someone and I notice they've read and deleted it, all I do is block.

What do you do?

Why block they are not going to bother you are they when people say thank you for your message but your not my type that usually opens up a torrent of abuse so a simple delete and maybe them blocking the messenger I can understand don’t be so sensitive move on

Why worry yourself? Don't take it to heart! It's happened to me loads of times. Yes it stings a bit but if you can't handle rejection then you really need to stop messaging people. What sort of things do you say in your messages?

Very rarely will we not reply, even if its a no thanks. If you've taken the time to write a message then I will take the time to reply. Tends to be the one liners with no effort that doesn't get replied too

My point really, I block not for them (as they wouldn't bother me like someone rightly said), it's so, I don't message them again. It's hard to track who you have sent a message to in the past...

I’ve just got a singles profile and to be totally honest I’ve read most of the messages but I don’t see them being message back worthy, so I do a mass delete. I’ll reply to the ones that make me smile or giggle!

Nothing. Don’t contact them again. I’ll make a private note on their profile so I don’t forget. But usually the wee summary at the top of their profile is enough for me to know not to message again.

But it’s only happened twice

This is a good plan, but then you might be looking at locals near you after months and don't remember if you have made contacted them before. Which will become pestering...

Nah, I don’t see the point in getting fussed over it. People have their own tastes and limited time, even tho polite responses would be pleasant, I can’t see there being any women on here even capable of responding to all the mail they get

Wish more men would take your approach, or at least use the notes facility.

Getting a message, check profile, read message decide for any number of reasons not to reply, so delete.

Only to receive the exact same or similar message a few weeks later.

Blocking simply stops people contacting other people who obviously are not interested
