It's the longest I've ever stayed in one workplace.

Six years is the most I've ever stayed in one job. But that's never been because I've liked it.

See not many people have the courage to do that! Well Done you!! Do you think this is the job for you now? A job for life?

My dad left school and went to the steel works as an apprentice. He retired from that same job as one of the top managers... One of the only things I respect him for.

Hmm not sure. I also moved towns or cities in the past - when I got bored with my life whatever job I did I tried to enjoy and when the time came that I didn't anymore, I just said thanks and goodbye.. perhaps I'm getting old now sticking to this one

Well I don't think I will retire within healthcare.. I was meant to be a teacher but I left uni after one year and went abroad. I'm thinking there's still something out there for me to try and learn.

My dream is different actually - it involves holding a microphone that's what I do all my life. Biggest passion. Perhaps I should finally do something about it.

I've done it. Nobody from my group went through. They told us "Sorry you didn't make it. It's a tough competition with 40 000 applicants this year." This was 4 years ago in Cardiff. But I've done myself proud.

Specially with how my days have been recently i think a voice like yours, even if the pipes aren't warmed up properly, can still brighten my day. Though if you are any good at a lullaby, that's something I'm in need of. Not been able to get sleep

I always left the jobs I didn't like or wasn't happy.

Lucky you! Not always that easy for everyone. You must be in an industry with lots of opportunities

I admire someone who changes their complete environment, moving into the unknown. I work with a few international colleagues so I know that it's not always easy moving away from home. Fairplay to you. And theres nothing wrong with putting down roots either sounds like you've had the best of both. Good luck to you.

Lucky you! Not always that easy for everyone. You must be in an industry with lots of opportunities

Hmm not sure. I also moved towns or cities in the past - when I got bored with my life whatever job I did I tried to enjoy and when the time came that I didn't anymore, I just said thanks and goodbye.. perhaps I'm getting old now sticking to this one

I admire someone who changes their complete environment, moving into the unknown. I work with a few international colleagues so I know that it's not always easy moving away from home. Fairplay to you. And theres nothing wrong with putting down roots either sounds like you've had the best of both. Good luck to you."

I left home when I was 19 (going abroad) and never went back. I don't know any different. Most of my family passed away so gotta fight it alone wherever I am thank you for kind words

Anytime... Just don't shrug it off!! Seriously think about. Don't think negatively and think 'ah it could never happen!' You don't know that until you try. Like I said... don't have regrets!!

My inbox is always open for you... x

Hi Jess... I was wondering if by any chance you could PM me please? I've been thinking about this chat we had this morning and I have come up with, well quite frankly, an amazing idea!! I don't really want to say on a thread.

I asure it is not Fab related and I'm not trying to trick you so I can send you a pic or ask you for social etc lol. I'm leaving the Conunty in 2 days so what's the point? All I ask for is to send you one message. Just confirm you've read it and I will delete both mine and your messages. I almost guarantee you will like what I send! So much so that if you don't like it you have my permission to BLOCK ME! Now that's a gamble ay!?

I'll leave it up to you and I understand if you'd rather not. Life will go on... Thank you and I do hope to hear from you.

I get the satisfaction from customers. And have a great banter with some colleagues. I've learnt a lot in my job. So I guess you're right.

7 years, is that regarded as a good stint these days?

Im 43 and have been at my job for 18.

My brothwr is 47 and has been with his company for 27.

We obviously enjoy what we do. Some people though feel the need to chop and change every 2 years. What the hell do you learn by doing that?

You learn a hell of a lot more by changing jobs every 2 years... I could pick up a trade in 2 years easily. Then pick up another trade...

Children, please.

Some jobs evolve over time.

And sometimes you need a change, now, play nice!

Please don't call me a child... thanks

I'm just saying. Some people like to swap jobs and pick up new skills. I think its good too experience different jobs and pick up different trades. I must have had 13 different types of jobs. In which picked up alot of skills. Which will help me on my travels. I respect someone who can stick at one job all their lives if that'swhat they want. Just don't put people down for choosing to change if they want too.

"Six years is the most I've ever stayed in one job. But that's never been because I've liked it.

I always left the jobs I didn't like or wasn't happy.

See not many people have the courage to do that! Well Done you!! Do you think this is the job for you now? A job for life?

My dad left school and went to the steel works as an apprentice. He retired from that same job as one of the top managers... One of the only things I respect him for.

Well I don't think I will retire within healthcare.. I was meant to be a teacher but I left uni after one year and went abroad. I'm thinking there's still something out there for me to try and learn."

I was in the same job for thirty years, but it offered lots of different roles. Every day is a schoolday....
