It's good to love your job. To love what you do and get paid for it is amazing. Yes variety is essential everyday! I hate grounghog day jobs...

My dad left school and went to the steel works as an apprentice. He retired from that same job as one of the top managers... One of the only things I respect him for.

Hmm not sure. I also moved towns or cities in the past - when I got bored with my life

whatever job I did I tried to enjoy and when the time came that I didn't anymore, I just said thanks and goodbye.. perhaps I'm getting old now sticking to this one

Well I don't think I will retire within healthcare.. I was meant to be a teacher but I left uni after one year and went abroad. I'm thinking there's still something out there for me to try and learn.

I've done it. Nobody from my group went through. They told us "Sorry you didn't make it. It's a tough competition with 40 000 applicants this year." This was 4 years ago in Cardiff. But I've done myself proud.

Go on that site.. Gofundme and get funds for studio time and a demo. Sent it out to as many people as you can. Get on youtube... do everything you can to make your dream a reality. Don't have any regrets! X

I admire someone who changes their complete environment, moving into the unknown. I work with a few international colleagues so I know that it's not always easy moving away from home. Fairplay to you. And theres nothing wrong with putting down roots either sounds like you've had the best of both. Good luck to you.

I left home when I was 19 (going abroad) and never went back. I don't know any different. Most of my family passed away so gotta fight it alone wherever I am

7 years, is that regarded as a good stint these days?

Im 43 and have been at my job for 18.

My brothwr is 47 and has been with his company for 27.

We obviously enjoy what we do. Some people though feel the need to chop and change every 2 years. What the hell do you learn by doing that?

You learn a hell of a lot more by changing jobs every 2 years... I could pick up a trade in 2 years easily. Then pick up another trade...

I'm just saying. Some people like to swap jobs and pick up new skills. I think its good too experience different jobs and pick up different trades. I must have had 13 different types of jobs. In which picked up alot of skills. Which will help me on my travels. I respect someone who can stick at one job all their lives if that'swhat they want. Just don't put people down for choosing to change if they want too.

Well I don't think I will retire within healthcare.. I was meant to be a teacher but I left uni after one year and went abroad. I'm thinking there's still something out there for me to try and learn.

I respect that... I couldn't imagine having a job for so long. I think the longest job I've had is about 2 years? I've kept moving around.
