Hiding in the shadows

I had a lovely day.

Drove to Derbyshire to se my teeny tiny Mummy.

Tried to book a table at her favourite fish restaurant about a month ago but they were already full.

They called as we on route as had a cancellation, but the the table was only for 2, we needed 6.

So they offered to deliver!

Made my/her day

My sons mowed the lawn for her, my eldest fixed a hinge on her shed, while we sat & chatted.

My eldest paid for the day, fuel & meal, so I didn't expect a present.

I got a box of posh super dark chocolate truffles, 3 bottles of prosecco & a voucher to get my jungle cleared - after 18mths working on my house, my garden has been neglected & rampaging buddleia has taken over.

My eldest then drove us home, while I floated in a prosecco haze.

It was a very good day
