Government cuts

Yet more stabbings on our streets, what does this Government expect, with all the Police cuts, its like a free for all out there. They are so interested in Brexit, that every day happenings are being ignored. You got more Police protecting the Prime Minister and the Royal family than what there are on our streets. They say the police cuts are because funding isn't available, who they trying to kid, when only last week they gave six million to another country. England is a rich country,just run by idiots. And its going to get worse.

I have no love for this or previous governments but kids who think it's ok to carry knives learned that from their parents, or lack of them. Govt. and Police just have the task of coping with the fallout..

There's nothing to put them off from carrying knives ... If say something like the death penalty came back for those that have murdered and have been proven to commit the crime it would maybe make people think " hey you know what? Let's not carry knives if there's a death penalty at the end of it"

There's a word Im trying to think of I can't remember to some it up I used it the other day, it's something along the lines of preventing .... I can't remember haha

Not just police cuts.

Community cuts means kids have nowhere to go and nobody to look up to. Add to that the pressure of poverty making people stressed, well.

Obviously you have to have a certain mindset to be stabby but all this stuff doesn't help. Turn the world into a dog eat dog place and that's exactly what will happen.

Can't wait until they turn on the government that did this to them.

I don’t think it’s totally to do with the cuts yeah that doesn’t help but there is the thing with how you raise them and knowing right from wrong, parents are to blame and the culture they live in and views put into their heads. Blaming poverty lack of money no jobs frustration etc end of the day get a job train up or get some education and get out no excuses.

This! You need to be tackle the problem before it becomes a problem. Prevention is better than cure and all that. Community centres/ youth groups were very useful back in the day because you would come into contact with many inspirational people. So, when you get rid of things like that you can't expect it to not have an effect. Of course, there's much more to to than that, but it's things like that we ought to be paying attention to.

Can't really say the stabbings are caused due to police cuts but there is a shortage of cops to deal with crime but even a lot of crimes that do get reported don't get dealt with as cops ain't interested but look how many foot soldiers turn up when the government want them that's cops that are ment to police areas

Plenty of money for G4S when Maybot was Home Secretary....nothing to do with her husband being a major shareholder in the company and certainly no conflict of interest
