I love marmite with cheese and crackers and it also gives a nice ‘lift’ to a stew.

The worst thing I’ve ever had in my mouth would be a close call between a raw oyster and a cooked muscle

Scallops are a close second. In fact any seafoid like that, and cockles, whelks etc.

Calling them testicles is probably the only thing that improves their image.

They are evil, though.

"Worst thing you've put in your mouth?"

I've always been an adventurous eater. I'd try anything at least once (and usually more). As a teen, I lived with a family in Central America for a year. They presented quite a few things that were questionable to me--but I ate them. Tripe! EWWWWW. Iguana--yum! Various off fruits and veggies--often questionable.

But one thing, I could not eat. Tried, but simply couldn't.

Pigs feet.

Now, I grew up with pigs. Raised them, smelled them, butchered them, ate them.

Never tried their feet.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Gelatinous, gooey, "meat," and it smelled exactly like...pig shit.

I tried, god knows, I tried. In an entire year of doing my best not to offend anyone with any food likes/dislikes, it was the ONE THING I could not handle.

Yes, they were offended that I had wasted not one, but two feet.

Honestly. NO. Could. Not. Eat.

I always imagined scorpion would taste a bit like prawn or lobster only less seafoody.
