It's been a week since my beloved Birmingham City were deducted 9 points for overspending.

It still hurts me ??

But aren't we all guilty of spending dosh we don't have?

Why are you hurt? Blues weren't going to get into the playoffs. And they won't get relegated.

I think a lot of football clubs have been guilty of overspending, and getting into debt, whether that be to evade the taxman or trying to gain promotion. Either way, it's just Birmingham that have been made an example of in this case.

I'm not too sure about the financial set up or the owners at St Andrews, but it has been the same story at a lot of clubs over the years. Afterall, you can only sell so many lukewarm pies and Bovrils at half time can't you?

I was convinced they were going up and then win the premier league next year and then the champions league the year after!!

wolverhampton

The owners were the problem. Blatantly flouting a transfer embargo was never going to end well.

For all that Carson Yeung appeared to be a crook at least he controlled the purse strings.
