Hidden profiles

If your profile is hidden should that prevent you from being able to send and receive messages? A hidden profile has been sending me some strange but very funny messages but is refusing to show his/her profile . Has anyone had a similar experience ?

I keep mine hidden when I don’t want tons of messages. Can always block them?

No people hide for many reasons but still like to chat thats no issue really

True, I could block but they aren’t being offensive and tbh it is quite comical what they are saying, it looks like a fake profile but because it’s hidden I can’t be sure. It’s a bit of a mystery

I would if their profile wasn’t hidden? My gut instinct says it’s hidden because it’s fake,

Mine is hidden 95% of the time unless I have the time and the inclination but happily natter to friends!

they can send and receive messages as normal sometimes you find the gems in hidden profiles

Yeah I kind get what you’re saying OP.

If you already “know” the person and they’re chatting whilst hidden that’s different from being sent a random message from someone new.

I wouldn’t engage with a hidden profile, don’t see the point.

I posted about racism and got abusive mails from a hidden profile . As I blocked they modified the profile so as to send more abusive mails. I was still able though to report each abuse and eventually they disappeared... Until next time!

I hide mine to stop messages. If I spot someone I like I'll send pics and a few extra details. Higher success from looking myself anyway.
