Or blame the remainers in charge, May and Hammond, who failed to grasp the historic opportunity given to this country :- )

And a lot of people on both sides care a lot hence the situation we are in.

Long story short, we will not be leaving the EU this Friday.

It may or may not be on Friday 12th April depending on whether a deal is agreed or not.

What this all goes to show is:

1) Our politicians don't know what they're doing...explains why the NHS, Education et al is so messed up...too much bickering and infighting

2) This whole mess proves the old adage "can't please all the people all the time" ...now if only someone had told that to Mrs May before she started down this journey.

Probably end up with referendum number 9 and beat the Saw films with episodes. The phrase " I want to play a game " springs to mind .

If a vote would have changed anything, we wouldn't have been given a vote, it was all smoke and mirrors to cover the fact that the greed of a few had caused a decline in the world economy and the greedy basxxxds that pull the strings, are still pulling them.

If Brexit is cancelled, what would be the point of voting for anything in the future?

You appear to be confusing an advisory referendum with voting for MPs or a general election.

Thats an interesting point.

Even if Brexit happens , the long term pressure to go back in may be huge.

You may see a shift resulting in sceptic parties amalgamating to keep us out.

Indeed many amongst those who want to leave don't wish to see Europe descend into chaos, or the EU disintegrate. Yet we see huge disparities in the EU nations and an organisation truly in need of reform yet structured in a way not to .

The UK leaving may well act as a catalyst to positive change there .

In a town Fab forgot

I feel sorry for Theresa May.

She's Trying to deliver something she never wanted.

Trying to unite a party split my their own desires to leave/stay.

And trying to get cross party agreement when 1) they're the opposition so by default will want to prevaricate 2) have their own leave/stay issues and 3) fighting all of the EU for a deal that suits us, when us leaving means they'll lose our pretty significant financial contributions and worse, could be the catalist for other countries leaving.

She's never going to come out of this smelling of roses.

No deal - people will say she never wanted it in the first place.

Part deal - people will say she never wanted it in the first place.

Perfect deal - there will still be people unhappy about whatever it is. You can't please all the people all of the time.

When will the politicians grasp that the electorate have made their choice?

Every day people lose a bit more faith in government. I don't think politicians and politics will ever recover from this.

Apathy is one of the biggest problems in society. I'd rather someone have an opposing opinion than just not care.

A disinterested and apathetic electorate is a corrupt politician's wet dream.
