Has retired, is he for real this time?

I personally think he is got to say well done to him even if I'm not his biggest fan as he has put MMA on the map.

Agreed it was known but McGregor has made it and the UFC a world wide phenomenon I personally think without his Aldo fight and the 13second KO it would be nowhere near as popular as it is now

It's a dull sport anyway, unless you know what they're doing. For a casual viewer it's dull, then all the staged pre fight WWE shite, which is now slowly creeping into boxing sadly

He may or may not have put ufc on the map. But what he certainly did do was inspire so many other mma athletes and fans alike that with confidence and the will to succeed almost anything Is possible.

He sure ignited my desire to succeed... I enjoy watching him he ozzes with charisma..

I don't like fighters who are rude and have big mouths. I don't like the wintimidaters.

I don't like mma but I respect it.

I watch mauy thai and train muay thai.

I prefer both watching and training stand up.

I don't watch UFC or bellator or boxing I watch MAXmuaythai and it's free on YouTube or the mobile app

I've been watching it in Bangkok and pattaya.

The thing is McGregor gets 3 fights per year while burokow and sanchai have over 350 fights...

It's free...it's more like a video game....the fighters aren't nasty people....it's on all the time twice or more a week.

The pay per view hype mma sport wrestling is abit boring for me. It's rarely on show for free unlike thai boxing.

It's abit of a meat head sport.

MMA and many other martial arts don't appeal to me.

But I don't insult or disrespect them or the people who study them.

The guy isn't a role model. He beats up people for a living. People need to get off famous peoples backs for crap like that. Role models should be in the home and not on tv

I totally understand why you're saying that but it's not the beating up that is inspiring. It's seeing them take people through BJJ/kickboxing etc. The only thing is unless you are aware of the various martial arts style it just looks like people 'beating' the other up.

I am a hugr fan of BJJ. I do it myself and seeing people get stuck in arm bars or any kind of ground play inspires me to get better. I get to see real world application of what I am learning.

I don’t think he’s retired at all.

I think it’s a business move by the ufc. He’s got a bunch of legal cases coming up and it’s just better if he’s not associated with the ufc.

The thing with retiring, it takes you out of the USADA pool and he won’t be able to just jump back in once he’s taken out.
