minus 5 outside, shall i leave the central heating on all night?

it's an old victorian house which takes ages to warm up, will just a few nights on affect the bill?

Leave it on as would cost just as much to start to heat the whole house up when starting again,also stop you getting frozen pies.

just turn it down overnight a few degrees makes all the difference and as has been said will help prevent frozen pipes

the thermostat has been on 20 all day and the room temp is still only 17!!!!

glad i'm hopefully moving in April!

the guy who did our gas check told us its cheaper to leave it on low...though we thankfully have insulation so rarely leave it on for more than a few hours

Multi fuel burner here..house is toasting and I get free hot water and central heating thanks to the back boiler...bliss
