"This won't end well."

What could possibly go wrong with self medicating?

The clue is the word replacement within the HRT acronym.

Replacing hormones you don't naturally produce or need?

If you feel you need to take hormones, please speak to your gp.

Please speak to your GP immediately!! Self medicating is never a good idea & you need specialist advice.

Good luck x

There's a chance you will grow breasts with certain hormones and an increased risk of heart attack or stroke.

Someone I know has female hormones to counteract prostate cancer.

I was on a prostate cancer treatment & HRT for 2 & a half years to mimick the menopause. It worked but caused other issues

Please, please, please do not self med with hormones. It is incredibly dangerous. The hormones prescribed for gender therapy are not the same as female hrt. Yes they both contain oestrogen, but the mixture and dosages are very different. Yes i do know several transgender people who started their journey by self medding, but they all had fully investigated the requirements, got the right stuff, calculated the proper dosages for body mass. And then told their gp they were doing it and arranged the necessary regular endocrine checks to make sure they didn't kill themselves.

The effects you can expect from randomly taking female hrt include loss of libido, inability to get an erection, shrinkage of genitals, sterility, liver failure, blood clots and death.

There is a small chance of getting man boob growth, maybe eventually gaining one cup size. But possibly also getting breast cancer.

It will not stop facial or body hair growth. It will not cause any feminisation of facial features. It will not cause any change in voice.

If you wish to start down the road to transition, find yourself a local transgender support organisation, go there and speak with people that have real experience of this process. There are plenty of them about, try the GIRES website (google transgender gires) they have a national directory that may not be complete but will be a good start point.

I reiterate, do not take any more tablets, throw them away, and if you are feeling any side effects go see your gp and explain what you have done. You might be a bit embarrassed, but it could save you from doing irreversible harm to your body.
