Have you done this and how did it work out for you?

I'm expecting lots of rubbish messages and not be interested in anyone.

I’ve never posted a meet....I’ve seen my local updates.

Unless some one is gonna travel a few hundred miles there’d be no point

I've posted main times when I'm looking for a social if I'm working somewhere.

Sometimes it's worked & I've met some lovely people. Had a coffee or a drink, sometimes some lunch.

I love them.

Others, people just ignore me. I think people can be a little cynical because of all the time wasters on here.

Other times, it's just because they tend to be in the day & most people are at work.

I do love a social. Always have a giggle & a little flirt. It's nice.

I just think it might be a fun way to meet someone new. Glad it works for you .

No one ever responds to ours so we don’t bother any more. And the odd one we’ve responded to we’ve not even received a message back! Lol

I wouldn't post one just because I live the back end of beyond lol so don't really meet locally anymore

Have posted a few, usually with very little success. There has been the odd exception though

Chams or Socials

I can’t remember who it was but a forumite did this a while back. They said where they would be & times so others could just drop in. It was a good way for newbies to get a verification

We've done this a fair few times in the past...

Sadly most guys who respond think the term social is code for fun/sex and push their luck

However you do get some who will happily meet for a drink and chat and they can be fun

I've had plenty of social only meets. Majority of my meets are social only

Posted a few. Nil response. But like the Murphys, I'm not bitter.

I’ve found uploading a status update requesting a meet works better than posting a specific meet.

One of my fab friends saw it and was free at the same time, happy days

Yes, why don’t you drive the 7 hours down here to meet me? That’s just selfish

Manchester

Every time we are out we tend to post up a social but it never comes to anything, most like to talk but then it all fizzles out .

Brighton - even Hove!

I never post meets nor look at them. I do try to go to organised socials though.
