Am I just old

Or is it really rude to be more than 5/10 mins late for no real reason

Having known about the date and time for over a week

( he says sat in car par for over 25 mins waiting )

The problem with being punctual is that there's rarely anyone there to appreciate it

Rude. Habitual lateness annoys the hell out of me.

If there's a reason obviously that's different but people who think their time is more important than mine get only wick.

You've got me started now. I also really dislike being invited to a meeting in a work context then being kept waiting by the person who set the meeting up.

Depends. Late to an RV in whilst on the military, possibly deadly.

Late when meeting an old friend because you overslept isn’t the end of the world.

For a date? I wouldn’t get that upset. Worse things happen at sea.

Have you met them before and have the messages you in that 25minutes you've been waiting?

North west ish

I think 20 mins is acceptable. I travel alot and if Im on the motorway can't txt or control the traffic. Anything over that id expect or try to send a message.

Depends if they have let you know they are running late, stuck in traffic, train delayed etc.

I’m always late, I really can’t seem to get the timings right. I’m never late for work though as can’t miss a flight. I’ve had 3 dates in the last 3 weeks and I was 10-20 mins late for 2 of them. I did get an uber for 2 and that took much longer than expected. I’m terrible I know. My mum is the same. I blame her, haha.

Depends how long they've travelled to meet you. 20 mins on a two hour drive isn't late, if you're meeting a local on your lunch break at work then 20 minutes is a pain in the arse.....

My last meet was an hour late, but she kept me updated which was appreciated. Sometimes things conspire against you and can't be helped.

She was definately worth the wait

Without being told about lateness in advance, 5 to 10 mins is about right for lateness. Not being told is rude.

Isn't all about communication. If you are going to be late at least have the decency to tell the other person(s) that you are running late. It's a case of treating others how you would expected to be treated yourself.
