I got bored and let my dad tattoo me so he could practice on something that wasn’t himself, my mum or pig skin.

They’re ‘meh’ tattoos but I love them.

And then he began boxing full time and sold his tattoo kit for over £1000 so now I need to pay for tattoos

Got the back ones out already. Studied Norse mythology since I was a kid so decided to have a little piece done commemorating that. It's not finished yet but when it is I'll be completely satisfied

I have 23. A lot of them are for my parents as they both died. I have their writing,

My Dad had tattoos so when I knew he was ill I had my tattoo guy redesign some of his into 1 for me. I have a couple of indulgence ones that I just really liked and also I like to get one from each country I visit as a little keep sake. My daughter and I have mother/daughter ones as well.

I also have an 80s pop star which I had signed then got the autograph tattooed on.

I have photos but they are in friends only. Drop me line if you'd like to see them

One Mexican sleeve with chest plate. One Japanese 3/4 sleeve with chest plate. One Japanese geisha/hannya mask on my leg. No reason behind them just liked them. So why not.

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact

Panther on my left upper arm. Had to pick something back in 1999.Everything was a crappy flash design from a book or wall back then. Wolverine and Spiderman on my right upper arm and sboulder. Two doves on my chest. Crying zombie girl on my right forearm. Hokusai's Dream of the Fisherman's Wife (Japanese woman given felatio by two octopuses). Left inner bicep is a wing bound with some rope. Only the first one doesn't have any meaning. You'll have to guess the meanings for yourself cos I won't tell.

I have a Japanese phoenix on my back which is all about rebirth after a difficult split with my ex and a new start in life! My sleeve is because I love them, no real reason, horse on my leg is my dream horse to own and the others again are just because I like them xx

One of my (female of couple) tattoos is shown on our profile, it's a floral, dotwork and lace design from the dip of my waist down to the back of my knee. I also have another large floral design on my other thigh, climbing flowers on my inner foot and ankle and each wrist has a smaller design.

I’d be left with my lower legs and feet, hands, right arm and head!! Think I might just keep them. Kind of attached to them. It’s fine that people don’t like body art, just don’t get why they have to message me to tell me that. As I don't have them for anyone but me, then it’s not an issue x

I have thigh tattoos, torso, wrist, groin, and having my small tattoos covered with a full back piece. Love them all!! xx

Mine have no meaning and I do find this need for tattoos to have a back story to validate them pretty odd.

My sleeve was accidental and is largely in the style of an Escher.

I have seven, my first is when I was 18 and got them done in some place in Walthamstow that east 17 used to frequent regularly, I was a sad little teeny bopper then (I lived a sheltered life) and my first was Ronan Keatings ‘warrior’ symbol on my right leg, it’s been there so long now I don’t even think about it now, I was pissed off when he covered his over

I got hope and courage on my left shoulder (I think) this was done as two fingers up to my dad, I went with a friend who was getting her tongue pierced and he said ‘if you come home with a tongue piercing you can find somewhere else to live’ harsh! So I got another tattoo, I later got my tongue pierced when I was in my 30’s.

My wrist ones are my kids intials (yes I’m one of ‘those’ with a rose in the middle, I’m not keen on it but there we are, the other is a butterfly in remembrance to my dear best friend who passed away, she had a bucket list of things to do and one of them was a wrist tattoo so I got that for her and she had butterflies on her coffin.

I have a large superman, doctor who battlestar galactica one on my inner left arm that I designed myself and I have my ex husbands initials on my left ankle

I blame the influx of American tattoo tv programmes a few years back. Every tattoo needed a hour long back story

I kind of just turn up, tell him my ideas and then he draws on me with a sharpie and tattoos over it.

It’s worked out pretty well so far
