Has she started 'nesting' or gone off her food? has she vomited it up at all? If she is having pups they sometimes eat less but more often, as there's not enough room to eat a full meal, hence vomiting part of it up again.

Usually when they are ready to whelp they go off all food.

Didn't the vet give her a scan to see if she was having pups?

Vet never offerd me scan but give me a number of a lady 25 miles away who do scans ... strange i was thinking pets at homes vets had everything in there ... I have just called and taking her later for scan as need to know .. i am thinking all sorts could be dead inside her ? she is my little dog really sweet and hate not knowing whats going on.x

Poor wee pup, would be nice if she wasn't going through a phantom one, but it does sound like it. Hope you come back and let us know how she is doing. xxx

Sounds like phantom here too.

1st litter my little girl had you couldnt mistake it she looked like a barrol.

Wouldnt leave me alone either ended up nearly falling over her everytime i turned round.

Mind you in a phantom they tend to grab a toy and cart that round with them as if its a puppy.

Couls be she might take next time xxx

She'll maybe appreciate the teddy to 'mother' for a week or two, but don't let her lick herself too much to stimulate milk.

Just give her more attention, take her out, play with her to make her 'forget' and she should soon be right as rain.

Mine had a good few phantoms and used to walk round with the kids small teddies in her mouth whimpering until she found a place to snuggle up to it...it is sweet but sad at the same time the poor little things.

Conventional wisdom is get them spayed if have three false pregnancies. The more they have, the more likely life-threatening womb infections are

This I can say was true in our case. She used to have a phantom right in the middle of her cycle when they said was the best time to have her done...so it had to be kept put off.

She got the womb infection and have to have emergancy surgery to save her life....it was a good job we took her to the vet to get her checked over as she was drinking more and sleeping a bit more or she would have been a gonna

Sounds like she's coming into season and will be very strange for her, bless her

Got that with JRT Pixie at the mo, was getting her spayed last week when she started her season so have to wait 3 months until she can be done she's very depressed and trying to hump my spaniel buddy

Personally as there are so many dogs in rescue looking for homes I'd steer anyone against letting their dog have pups but thats just me.

Also you will find her burying things and getting her bed ready for her "pups" my other dog been though she was spayed would have a phantom every year and milk would seep through her buttons. She dug a massive hole under the shed in the garden to give birth to said puppies, we then had 3 weeks of her carrying her squeaky toys so gentle as they were her babies xx

Is she not on medicine? If she gets too unhappy or has too much milk, ask ur vet

hi ya mistress Game

may i ask was it a planned mating , if so dont forget most studs offer a return visit if she didnt take ,

also my personal opinion is try not to mother her too much she is still a dog and needs to adjust to her condition , (even if a phamtom) too much changes in her routine (excess mothering from you )

could confuse her,

xx
