Has anyone else found this?

Ok so i've been on fab a fair while & know how things work, but this has recently happened...

A few on my friends list, i have met for socials things go brilliant and both agree they had a brilliant time, all the flirty msg continue etc, however you then notice they are only ever interested in having a social & nothing more, when questioned this is denied..you then notice they start to call them "Dates" has anyone else had serial socials that never lead to anything more but the other person repeatedly wants them?

I've been meeting a man for 7 years and he only ever wants coffee. He's never even hinted at wanting a fuck.

It's called 'dating' some people frown upon it around here, some look for them. If you like the person, what's the harm in seeing them again?
