What things have prices that in your view are just wrong? The materials and quality don't justify the inflated demands etc?

"What things have prices that in your view are just wrong? The materials and quality don't justify the inflated demands etc? "

Why is it with foods that are promoted as healthier, ie., have had less sugar, salt etc included or removed altogether, are more costly than the "full" ingredients original?

Frankly, if it's less of a manufactured option, it should be cheaper?

Everything that's bad for us is expensive. Alcohol pricing is going through the roof. £4 for a pint of lager that lasts 15/20 minutes, a glass of wine £5.50. A packet of cigarettes (I'm a non smoker) £12.

The government wants us to give all these filthy vices up so we can all die healthy..

Good chance the salesman has never stepped foot in a manufacturing plant - dealerships being franchises. Most salesmen have literally no clue what goes into building cars - hence why they can come out with rubbish like that. I'm not saying there's not a big mark up on it - but if he thinks it costs £5k to build a car, he's delusional. THey're usually clueless about the manufacture and the time and effort - love to see them on a line for even one day, I think it should be compulsory.

ps. I hope your car's not made from tin - maybe that's why it's so cheap to make

Well of course it is - someone has to own the house first and if they are letting it they need to cover insurance, their own mortgage, repair bills, time it's stood empty

I would say some hairdressers. I understand it's a skill but £50 for a cut at some hairdressers is crazy. Plus the base price that hairdressers pay for colour is so cheap with big mark ups. I miss my old hairdresser who used to charge £15 for a cut and blow-dry and he was amazing. Owns his own successful salon, if I hadn't moved I would still use him. Tempted at times to travel back just for him to do my hair

There and to the left a bit

Anything that the word "retro" is applied to - picked up a pair of "retro" Adidas the other day thinking they looked nice, put them straight back down when I saw the £75 price tag.

Similarly anything deemed "fashionable" - I can remember when both Fred Perry and Ben Sherman were considered cheap but quality brands - nowadays you won't get change out of £50 for their shirts.

Oh and on the "retro" theme - since when did taking a second hand shirt from the 70s, washing it, and putting it on a hanger, justify any price other than jumble sale/charity shop prices - just take a look at some of the "trendy" second hand shops round Shoreditch or Camden Market
