Milk in hot drinks.

Manchester

I've recently stopped putting milk in hot drinks after we ran out at home, since discovered that it actually tastes better without.

Someone at work who has recently left was telling me there are health benefits to having less milk, what are these does anyone know?

Controversial topic, and like lots of things, lots of conflicting advice online. From sensible to stark raving mad.

"It’s not nice in bovril. "

Was at a football game a few weeks ago a man asked for a coffee and went and put milk in it he spat it out quite quickly once he'd realised he'd been served a bovril

I like both, but have upped my hot "fruity drink of choice" game.

I now do it like mulled wine. Get the mulled wine tea bag type things and stick a couple in the bottle for a few days...

Lovely.

Dairy can be very bad for your respiratory system if you drink a lot, causes build up of phlegm. I felt this alot but never put it down to milk until I stopped drinking as much. I used to drink at least a litre a day.

As well dairy causes alot of problems with infants. Formula food is full of dairy but causes eczema and reflux amongst other things.

Nowadays I might have a drop with some tea but don't even drink as much of that now either.

I'd recommend making hot chocolate, mochas etc with hot coconut milk it's delish!

There has been numerous studies that have proven if you consume something over a period of time on an individual basis that you will be grow to like something that you previously didn't so if you want to eat more vegetables you have to force yourself and eventually you will find yourself liking them just as if you stopped putting milk in your coffee.

You can change the goat's milk it doesn't have the same lactose as cow's milk and does not cause the same issues.

It's the tiny stool that's the problem. Keep reducing em to kindling.

Tea with milk of course and my skinny lattes. You have alternatives to cow milk, such as rice, oat, soya, which have slightly different flavour and health profile.

Milk is controversial also because of how the cows get there etc. It's not typical for an adult to consume milk intended for babies

I've got a cows milk protein allergy so can't have milk at all. Hot drinks are black, unless I have some almond milk in the house (only for coffee though).

I tried goats milk but it tastes like goats smell
