Squaddies in my town and I didn't know about it!!!!!!

Just heard off me mam that me sister and her other half were walking the dog on the beach this Sunday and found a WWII bomb! Called the cops (tho' our kid fancied keeping it as a doorstop) and they got in touch with Bomb Squad at Catterick who came and performed a controlled detonation of said bomb

which sis and OH were invited to watch - I don't bloody believe that she didn't tell me that there were squaddies lurking round our fecking town - could have performed my own controlled explosion with a few of them - families - can't live with them, can't fecking kill the buggers

I think the bomb disposal guys who arent simply squaddies would actually scramble off the beach if they saw you approaching them...maybe they'd leave you dear to walk on the bomb instead.

I have a "no squaddies" rule after some disastrous meets. However if you have any matelots or bootys you can chuck them my way xx
