Would you do it differently?

Do you have a past situation that having reflected on it now, you would consider doing differently? Do you regret the option you took at the time? If there were others in your situation at this moment, what words of advice would you give them?

Recently I bumped in to a friend whom I’d not seen in a while. He asked how my now ex girlfriend was. Safe to say it was a little awkward but it made me reflect a little.

Despite us still having a fairly intimate and close relationship, it had become a relationship with very little sexual intimacy and I was a young horny selfish idiot. I decided I couldn’t stay.

If I had known about the world of fab then, and had taken the time to understand why these changes happened, we may have been able to tall about possible alternatives.

If I were able to offer my younger self advice or even others, talking is always a good starting point. I could open your eyes and give you a better understanding.

Anybody else willing to share?

I spent a long time working when my ex fiancee was pregnant. Long story short we lost the baby. I would advise myself never, ever put work ahead of those you love. Money can always be made but missed opportunities gut you every day for your lifetime. Theres a few others but that's the big one. Sorry for bringing the tone down all. Hope everybody is doing fantastic!

God yes, I was married to a narcissistic bully and at one point he disappeared for over a month. I eventually found him as he’d gone off with another woman, the first affair I knew of . I fought to get him back as I had 3 young children, and two of them disabled. He came back and ramped up his behaviour I endured another 14 years and my children and I paid a high price. I’d like to tell myself that don’t have him back, yes it’s hard work as a single parent but I was doing it alone mainly so I could have survived x
