No. Not your wanger to see if you caught galloping knob rot, but smoke alarms.

Personally we don’t bother as it gets tested at least three times a week, around dinner time (useful for letting the kids know foods ready).

So go on. Press the button and scare the shit out of the dog. You may regret not doing so.

We are lucky we have three in a 1bed flat 2 that are hardwired 1 battery. We have people come to check them separately twice a year for 2 and once for one.
