I just added a comment to a great forum post about Mummy bods and it got me thinking... (dangerous I know!)

How incredible all the variety of women are on here.

The HOT fab pics section has made me realise the world is full of damn fine women- REAL, BEAUTIFUL women. At times I can’t help but compare myself to those who sterotypically have bodies of those who don front covers of magazines and rightly so- they are recognised for being damn fine!

However- I’m slowly realising that there is always another man/or woman who finds the next woman/ man attractive for who they are/ what they look like. That’s it’s ok to be different/ have real bodies/ outlooks on what is beauty.

So my question is to everyone- what attracts you to people to message them? What do you see as beautiful?

Agreed! I was terrified the first time I walked into a club! I knew no one and I’d only been on Fab a few days! I expected it to be full of twenty something porn star lookalikes and not for a minute did I expect to be ‘wanted’ - I just went out of curiosity and for a night out!

The reality was totally different! Basically like all the people you’d see in your local supermarket but with less clothes on - and mostly very friendly!

Woman it tends to be curves and pretty faces for me.

With men it's a variety of things, but ultimately an attractive face. I like height on a man but I'm flexible on that. I suppose a man's charisma over his looks are what attracts me most usually.

Going to clubs made me more accepting of my view of myself. Made me a little bit more body confident x

I'm slowly learning to like my body, some days are better than others. Although, I try not to compare myself to the 'body beautiful'. I'm beautiful in my own way...as are we all.

Lots of things make me want to message someone but quite often they aren't directly aesthetically related if that makes sense? Anyhoo, that being typed.

I like a good V on a man in photos. Or nice hair. Preferably greying. Ooo arms that have the sort of veins popping. That's all stereotypical shite though.

What do I see as beautiful? Lots of things. But I always remember The Twits quote;

A brain. It doesn't have to be a big one, just an active one, that likes giving and receiving, playing.

Sadly most connections I make with women tend to be online first these days. I'm ok with that, it helps the kind of women i'm attracted to, to be heard over the blank/2pic cleavage shot people that text speak or are super abrupt and matter of fact.

If I'm elsewhere, I'll look at the face, on Fab I'll look at glimpses of a figure. I find it hard to figure out whether I'm attracted enough to someone based on photos alone now.

I like to meet people who excite me on multiple levels. So I go for an overall package. I don't really have a type. I try not to rule people out based of preferences, but I do have turn offs.

Hefty Hideaway

Stunning is a great word. I often see men and women on the scene who take my breath away. More often than not they don’t fit the body beautiful mould that the magazines would have us believe is the only way to look. A combination of confidence, a relaxed manner and the ability to light up a room gets me everytime. Much like an ugly one, a beautiful soul radiates from within.

For me I like a woman to have curves. Skinny women don’t do it for me at all. Like a woman to have some meat on her, curves in the right places. Also for me, eyes are a weakness. If you have sexy eyes...I’m yours!

Good banter and having a laugh is key too. Make me laugh and I’m attracted.

But

Obviously I see many people I am attracted physically on Fab. But to send a message, they need to be honest and easygoing, genuine and decent. It's all in their write up, one that doesn't sound like a sales pitch or a list of demands. I don't send many.... check my veris

Normally it's about the face but obviously when browsing profiles on here they're often not visible so deciding who to message becomes more about 'do the pics of the other bits of themselves they have shared attract or not; do they come across as pleasant and warm or angry and entitled in the way they write their profiles and other site communications? And finally have they pre-screened me out already in their profile?

It's all about concepts of beauty... they just had a model considered beautiful in the industry who said they are the most insecure people on the planet...if your career depends on what you look like you are always worrying about being thinner..taller.. having better hair than the next girl

..and there is always going to be a next girl
