we are thinking of buying a smallish 15 van caravan park.

would any swingers out there be interested if we did, and were to organise caravan swinging weekends say once a month?

it would be fairly central, between lincoln & newark, about 20 mins from the A1 and just off the A46. it is very secluded so naturism would not be a problem either (weather permitting of course). it already has 16amp electric hookup and a toilet/shower area. would it be viable to continue the swinging weekends through the winter?

just looking for some feedback to help with our decision.

The thing is, can you make it pay just opening a 15 van site just to swingers?

If you are considering doing special swingers weeks/weekend around 'normal' customers are you willing to risk the damage to your site reputaion if you get bookings mixed up?

not at all ... the idea is to be a general caravan/camp site throughout most of the year, with occasional swinger weekends, maybe once a month or even every 2 months, and hope it can continue through the winter months too,

thanks for your question though, this is exactly the sort of feedback we are looking for before we make a decision to spend money on it or not.

and your question re mixing up customers, just a case of being extremely careful i think

Are you looking at touring vans only? or would you have any static?

I think it's a brilliant idea, I don't have a caravan but love my tent.

Nothing would get me hooking a caravan to the back of my car! It should be a criminal act!

we would consider one or two statics, but, would have to be some sort of rule in place as regards swinging on vanilla time lol .... do not want to mix the two lifestyles as it will be a business.

One thing I would be very wary of if I were thinking of doing swingers weekends in a 'normal' touring park.

The caravan touring 'community' can be very close knit, you could very easily pick up a 'reputation' for being a swingers site....and scare off 'normal' vanners, word can get around very easy because when we had our motorhome a few years ago we noticed you tend to get vanners exchanging information about sites they have visited.

Also you will get the odd idiots who feel it ok to turn up at 'normal' family weeks/weekends expecting to find swingers....knowing the site owners are swingers will be enough to attract them.

I'd be very careful, unless I was in a position to have the site a 52 weeks a year swingers campsite.

yes, i see your point, (being seasoned caravanners ourselves too) and tbh, it is not something we had considered too carefully, we seem to have convinced ourselves that we could keep the two seperate.

a 52 week swingers site is not viable at all so will not go down that road, but thanks again, will give your point some more thought.
