I think its acquaintances on line friends I meet in person some progress from on line acquaintances but in reality most have come through the real world where I can take people as face value and don't have to re-asses them after the mist of on-line bullshit has cleared. Is it easy to make them? Well never thought on it but if you don't have to think about it I would say its not hard.

Fab is a parallel world of pleasure for me where making friends usually starts online.

It’s not easy for a single man, for all the reasons everyone knows.

Finding like-minded people who share my kinks and desires is a glorious reward, and getting to explore those kinks together such great fun

I make friends easy enough in real life, on here it's a lot harder to put yourself across. Plus a lot of the people on here are either here for meets only or will only talk to a particular sex or type. Those I have made friends with on here have come about from posting on the forums and they are lovely people

It’s easy to make friends online but they are more acquaintances really.

On here if I make someone a friend I prefer to meet them in person.

I find it very difficult to find friends in real life, it took me three years almost to find friends in Harlow when I moved, I started a job in a bakery and found my ‘kind’ of weirdos and then three weeks later I moved, it felt bittersweet really.

I do have some friends from when I was with my ex husband but I see them so rarely now.

I real life.

I have a small group of friends, and 2 people who've known me 20yrs that I'd class has best friends - but none know everything about me, they only know versions of me.

The best friends I've ever had, I've met on here.

A bunch of crazy folks, I have no secrets from, who I can be totaly 100% myself with & they accept me exactly as I am.

I find making friends quite difficult. I'm a quiet person, so might come across as unapproachable, but if people want to chat I'm very friendly. I have plenty of acquaintances but it's the moving from acquaintance to friend that I struggle with. I have aspergers and need a lot of alone time to unwind and recharge. I get 'peopled out' and some people have taken that to mean I don't like them as much as they like me, which is crap. I love socialising, I just can't do it as much as others.

Same for me I get on well with people, I'm pretty sociable.

It's harder to get a true feel for people on line for me.

Friendship takes time and I can count my true friends on one hand, those that know the real me and accept me for my flaws as well as the good bits.

I like talking to people. A lot. And socialising.

But I don't actually have that many good, close friends. Just a lot of casual "hi, bye" friends.

I don't really differentiate between friends made on here or in RL. The ones from here are more likely to have a holistic opinion of me and I like having that openness.

I'm more particular about my friends than the men I have sex with.

I stopped going out with my group of friends because they started to bore me.

My childhood friend I lost in my early 30s, because my ex husband thought I was having an affair with her partner.

I'm quite sad about that as we were like sisters.

I'm quite socially awkward and introverted with people at first which can make meeting new friends harder, tie that in with 'men of a certain age' and it adds to the difficulty.

Generally I prefer the company of women too.

However, having said all of that I'm a very loyal friend. I find that good friends really are worth their weight in gold.

I think sometimes I come across a bit rude to new people, unless there is standout reason why I am talking to them, the other night in the pub out with my old friends there was a new girl in their circle and I found it very difficult to warm to her (mind you it doesn’t help that once they find out that me and the ex husband are out together they find it weird until they realise that we are all friends, including doughnut ) but give it an hour and we were fine, doughnut was chasing her around the pub to baby shark and the puns were coming left right and centre.

I don’t make friends easily. I get very flustered and on edge especially when I really like someone. I also don’t like to feel I’m bothering people so I maybe don’t reach out as much as I should so people end up thinking I’m not interested when I really am. Low self esteem coupled with social anxiety does not help. Being on fab and in the forums has really helped me I think. I still don’t post as much as I would like to though, not yet anyway

I used to be socially awkward and painfully shy in case people didn't like me, now I'm at a stage in my life where I realise I don't give a fuck about most people so I don't even try to be sociable, that keeps my circle of actual friends very small.

Strangely at work everyone thinks I'm incredibly friendly and chatty

It's the definition of "friend" I am talking about. I don't believe you can be true friends unless you have met in person over a period of time. At best online "friends" are acquaintances, at worst, they could be a bot!

your imagination

I make acquaintances easily, I know and get along with lots of folk. But in these days of ghosting and submarining I'm cautious about really making friends with anyone online anymore. You can be chatting with someone all the time, even if you never meet, and then suddenly they're gone. Out of the blue they stop replying to texts or taking your calls, and you're just left wondering wtf did I do? At least with real world friends you don't really have that. They'll tell you if they've got stuff going on or are pissed with you about something.

We're mates aint we? My real world mates piss me off too at times!

I tend to keep myself to myself mostly, I like to chill on my own and go for walks to get away from it all. I'm out and about with work so nice to just do nothing... I've moved around a lot so got 'friends' all over but lose contact.
