"Best one I've heard is a Black Labrador walking past in countryside, with owner calling "Bentley"(he chose to ignore her)"

Bentley is not particularly odd - I knew a lab called Bentley, so named because his owner said he could then rightly say he had a Bentley.

I grew up with a lab called Woolwich (named after the TV ads "We're with the Woolwich") which I personally found quite cringey when I had to call him and people would ask why the name

Camberley occasionally doncaster

A guy I used to work with called his cat "Bollocks". So when it went missing the local kids could genuinely go out and shout for it in the street and not get told off.

Unwritten rule in our house is the cats have to have a name with an "ee" sound at the end - currently have Alfie, Ernie and Eddie and have had Ruby, Archie, Edie, Josie, Jezzie and Billie in the past (although Billie was actually Billie Joe after the lead singer of Green Day)

I've always done this too. I think I read somewhere years ago that a cat learns it's name quicker if it ends with an ee sound.

We have 2 cats at the moment, Jimmy and Bindi.

Bindi got his name because he has a little white spot on his forehead that resembles the bindi spot many Asian women wear.

Jimmy picked his own name! We were stuck trying to choose something and were tossing out ideas and he responded to Jimmy.
